In my twenties i was a really bad alcoholic and would drink a twelve pack of beer and 4-8 shots of liquor everyday. Hard stuff i would have first to get the ball rolling and then id drink the beer all the rest of the day/night. I would literally wake up and immediately drink vodka, it was horrible.
Felt so disgusting and hungover every morning and pretty much got stuck in a cycle where i would drink to get rid of it. Not eating enough food and all the alcohol completely trashed my stomach and i live with the damage to this day. Honestly i cant even tolerate alcohol physically anymore, it makes me so nauseous to the point i really dont enjoy it.
Back then i did love being drunk tho and yeah i had some fun times, but it was also really sad and i would isolate and drink by myself most of the time. When id goto or have parties i would blackout sometimes and act like a fool. Alcohol is one of the drugs i truly regret abusing, it did alot of damage to my life.
I hope you can find a healthier relationship with it Dreamflyer. Im not sure if your situation is as dire as mine was, but when i quit drinking habitually it really improved my life. Honestly i only drink a couple times a year now if at all. My crutch as you all know are the dissociative anesthetics.
