Good luck psy997, I'm sure you'll have a blast! :) DOC is a little physical for me, but as long as you stay active it shouldn't be much of an issue, and as for the psychedelics effects it's pretty righteous. Definitely one that most people should try at least once!

I love where I live... I've been getting into foraging for wild edibles when I go on hikes in the past 2 years, my girlfriend knows a ton about the plants here and a friend of ours actually produces some of his income by foraging for wild edibles and selling them to restaurants and such. One of my favorites is the ramp, a sort of onion/garlic cross that grows in the soft mountain soils, so delicious! There are also indian cucumbers which are this little white root that is crisp and delicious raw, it tastes sort of carrot or parsnip-like but milder, sort of potato-like too. it fulfills a simialr role as a water chestnut when you cook with it. And then there's the chicken of the woods... what is it, you ask? Only the best mushroom EVER! I have never seen one for sale but it's one of the most easily identifiable mushrooms in North America. it's meaty and it tastes a lot like a really rich white meat chicken... it's better than chicken, the only meat substitute I actually like better than meat. I found my first one (about 3 pounds) on a hike last weekend and I've been eating it with every single meal. I could have gotten like 15 pounds of it but we didn't want to remove too much, so it would come back next year in the same spot.

Currently I'm leaching the tannins from a bunch of chestnut acorns we gathered on the same hike. If you leach the tannins from acorns for about a week they can be made into some delicious things.

Just put up some Halloween decorations for the first time in a decade. I noticed last year that not a single house on my street had any decorations, so I said to myself, "Next year, I'm not gonna let the most enjoyable of holidays go unnoticed by the children of this street!" And sure enough, here I am setting stuff out, before October has even arrived :)

Some kids from down the way came by and were ogling at the fake spider webs and headstones I put up. Their parents are hyper-baptists so they don't believe in anything fun. I feel that all children should get to experience the fun and frights of Halloween, so it made me happy to see that these kids' curiosities were still being tickled despite their parents' repression. There's been such a backlash against Halloween by conservative parents in recent years, I felt that it was my duty as a citizen to express that I like Halloween, and I'm not afraid to hide it!

Well skydiving seems to be more Harm Reduction for you than getting back on a bike/quad. Im the spirit of Bluelight I suggest you try it first friend :-)

I need my bike/quad back in my life man, that was what I did for 15-20 years until I got hurt. I lay away at night and pretend I'm out riding the course and turning laps. :)

It's even better than last weekend. Seems like I got myself a girlfriend :)

Better to die or be fucked off doing something that brings life joy. Perhaps it may shorten the years, but does it the experience of life itself?

Ps: Jumps 5 and 6 today. First was mid August. Watching video feels like slow motion after doing it. Shit even got me working more hours for $$$. Now I am missing out on buying all these new/newly available tryptamines. Fair trade so far.

Every year i try and get some Halloween decorations on the roof when I help Mom put up christmas decorations. Shes no fun at all. Haha

Well, that was an epic night. Fifth BLer I've met... still a 100% hit rate in terms of them all being as cool as I thought they'd be. :)

They never are. Force the Halloween upon them! MwahahahahAJ.

Xork, if you ever meet an uncool BLer... lemme know man. ;)

Fuck man seems to be the convergence. If only BL could be based in Asheville :p I'd move there.

Haha. :) You could do it regardless. Or at least visit.

If any PD person is visiting here, please do get ahold of me, it's great meeting people, especially when you already know them from here. :)

I love that you're here... that I'm here; despite the hours. PD for lyfe!

I wonder if the acid I used to eat when I was younger were the same acid strips around today. I remember them being extremely visual and made me go on journeys to planets of water and seas of people, extremely detailed imaginative landscapes that seemed alive with their own intelligence.
Now the acid is all just a mind-fuck; neon-colors, artificial feel, rollercoaster of emotional fluctuations, and the sensation of extra-sensory perception about other objects rather than morphing hallucinaitons with minds of their own.

mushrooms are better at bringing objects to life, and summoning creatures... Someone once told me there was a variety of acid called "sunshine acid" which was more happy and visual, and the one that goes around more commonly now is a different variant of LSD that's has more of an emotional edge and distorting visual, rather than concrete, almost tangible hallucinations.

^Well it's all up to you mate. I must admit that to me acid is one large thing. You cannot define it. It's probably the same thing you ate back in the day and yet you don't even know. That's just the way life is. We all think it's different... yet it's the same.

C'est la vie!

Next time i go on a 2 hit trip, i'll stay in-doors and move around very little. The opposite of what I did last time, which was go to town, and be around a lot of people.

Set and setting might be key. It could also be that my mind just changed so much, that it's less prone to creative visuals, and more tuned to detail oriented patterns & emotion/thought control

It all depends on what you're seeking.

Riding in the back of a truck through the historic district of my area was quite transcendental, and I must admit that this helped define my latest rendition of what an acid trip is.

Set and setting is indeed key.

One can fry their nuts off on a single tab.

Another time they can be disappointed in how their mates "ruined their trip".

You can never truly plan for 'where' a trip will go to be quite frank. It could go 'anywhere'.

God how I love pseudo-philosophical bullshit!!!

I have a family member who was a young adult in the '60s and describes all kinds of intense LSD trips like you have, total out-of-body massive hallucinations spiritual visions kind of stuff. I gave him some of the LSD I had a while ago and he said it felt exactly the same, just like a lower dose. I personally believe this probably accounts for a lot of it, that back in the high peaks of popularity LSD used to genuinely be dosed high as it was advertised, whereas these days it's very popular again but quite often dosed much lower than what anyone claims it is. At least, that's what a lot of lab results would lead you to believe, along with the often weak-seeming reactions people report. It is also consistent with my experience that most common street LSD these days finally starts to take on some of those qualities you describe for me once the doses are seemingly very high.

The thing about the "sunshine acid" you mention too is that they are very likely referring to ALD-52, which, aside from claims of subtle differences in the emotional state and such like you say from regular LSD, basically just metabolizes into LSD and gives you pretty much the same trip, but it is actually accurately dosed at 100-150 ug per blotter depending on the source, so it's more likely to give you those powerful experiences too.

do you use dissociatives at all, BP? many dissociative users end up permanently losing visuals from serotonergic psychedelics. i saw a scientific explanation of it once, but don't remember the details. something about changes in receptor expression and arachidonic acid release...
