Sounds lovely psy997, I'm gonna try microdosing acid quite soon - have some old blotters so might as well use them for that.

Plugged 30mg of 4-ho-met a couple weeks ago - it got incredibly intense and electric after a joint, really is a lot of fun that one. Stark difference to eating some mushrooms last weekend, such a heavier stoning body buzz to psilocybin in comparison. Also felt like it went much deeper and felt far more rewarding afterward.

I think I might try 4-HO-MiPT this weekend :)

My psyche to do list includes:

4-HO-MIPT
4-ACO-DET
4-ACO-DIPT
2C-E
Proscaline
Escaline

so many psyches, so little time :p

My arsenal is stocked, my plan is fluid and synchronously unfolding, and I just found an article supporting the consciousness theory I propose in my book. Consciousness on the collective level is gearing up in an exponentially ascendant revelation, and all the other signs I notice today relentlessly fuel my faith in a new paradigm solidifying.

^^Lol, I remember chuckling at the Castaneda jibe when I watched that season many months ago.

Just revisiting X Files on NetFlix this past few days it happens. That episode was interesting given it's somewhat plausible (apart from the supernatural bit) description of ibotenic acid (cf. Amanita spp.) as being hallucinogenic, etc. and perhaps even with some noötropic qualities; although I don't think the mushrooms in question were accurately pictured in the relevant scene of the episode, certainly not the fairy-tale "toads-stool" muscaria, but I'm open to correction by someone who knows their mycology), and in that the preceding episode dealt something you could almost term an opposite drug, scopolamine, the subjective effects in one scene rendered I'd venture to say pretty well, but didn't really settle with me that great ... I think it would've been more interesting if they'd dosed their subjects with high doses of LSD; although a wholly fictional LSD-related insecticide was featured in another episode, which in some sense is not totally fictional as a certain insecticide is, properly chemically reacted, part of one of the lesser-known synthetic routes for LSD (although not in such routes or proportions that it would make a difference for the end product, just as a step for people who have difficulty obtaining one of the watched precursors, although not the primary one) ... I really wonder how much the writers/Chris Carter/etc knew about this stuff as much as people like us can nitpick it.

Yeah I remember that ergot-related insecticide. I watched most of that series a year or two ago now, I'm in the last season but honestly the show goes to shit about season 8.

I went to early vote an hour ago but when I got there the line was about a 45 minute wait and I had forgotten my voter card, so I had to bail as I have work in 5 minutes. Someone almost t-boned my car on the way back too. Startin' off with a shit morning, wooo. Plus I get to wait in the two hour lines to vote on the 8th now instead. Ain't life great.

Haven't watched X-Files since the 90s but I put it on the other day and picked a random episode. The first one that came up was the LSDM episode you were talking about where people were going crazy and seeing messages in digital clocks/TVs/microwaves/ATMs etc. Kinda spooky to see it mentioned here after my first visit in a couple of weeks.

Not much to add to the thread; Compared to a month ago life is pretty good. Got hot water and heat in the house again, got some things that were bothering me off my mind, had some friends over for Halloween and got drunk for the first time in a year or more. Looking like I might have a chance to get a job with a local race team programming ECUs. I've been learning about the ECU they use all week and I'm hoping to meet the boss man soon to see if I'm what he's looking for. I really hope I get the job because I love racing/driving and I love all the travel they do.

Hope everyone else is well!

Ugh I got pretty fucking drunk last night, I had more beers after I got home and I don't quite remember going upstairs to bed. That hasn't happened in a long time... oh well. I feel alright this morning actually but I hate that lightheaded woozy feeling the morning after.

Been drinking a good amount of water. For some reason I rarely get real hangovers, I used to but not anymore. Lucky me I guess.

Drinking. Something about my Irish blood leaves me incapable of having just a few. I always noticed when I lived in the US that when I considered I was just warming up, everyone else was ready to go home. Got proper leathered (great word for being drunk here, some others: pissed, blocked (N Irish variant), smashed etc.) last weekend and took me until Monday to recover. Once you hit the forties it gets much harder to recover. I hate myself on alcohol anyway, but can't help drinking too much.

Sitting here on a Friday night on 40mg plugged MXE, I have a tiny shot of whisky on the table. It's 14yo Tweedale blended scotch -lovely stuff- and it's a rare treat. But, the MXE has enhanced my sense of smell to such an extent that it almost feels like I'm drinking it through my nostrils. Wonder if it's possible to get drunk on evaporating alcohol? Only kidding of course...
Bonfire night here tomorrow (look up Guy Fawkes for non-UK readers) so lots of fireworks going on outside. A very chill evening.

Alcohol is nice, I tend to drink enough to get to some level of drunkenness but rarely anymore do I drink more than I intended to. When I was younger I used to black out all the time because it always seemed like I should have another, I had very little self-control over it once I started getting drunk. I had a really bad thing happen/almost happen once when I was 19, and I didn't drink at all for a year after that and I never really got back into it... then soon after I got addicted to opiates and started hating alcohol and never drank (some people say they like the combo but I find that alcohol totally ruins the opiate high). Then when I got off opiates a few years back I started drinking again because I found I enjoyed it. Nowadays I drink pretty much every time I hang out with my friends or go to band practice, which is at least half the nights of the week. When I hang out with my girl or stay home I don't drink.

Any one here into jazzrock?

Have a nice weekend everyone !

I quite badly cut my hand on a knife about ten years ago when I was incredibly fucking drunk. I was really angry about something, and was smashing some things in my house when I grabbed a knife and stabbed a wooden dining table. :| My hand slipped and ran down the blade and I sliced all my tendons, nerves, muscles in the fingers of my right hand. I had to have an operation, with plastic surgery and couldn't use my hand properly for about 6 months. Painful rehabilitation too. My hand is about 80% of its old capacity; I cannot grip all that well and the inside of each finger is permanently numb. :\ It does not hinder me but fuck, I deeply regret having done that. It actually really set off a lot of the old anxiety I felt as a child, and it was then that I started using benzo's constantly and opiates.

Basically, I do not drink. I might have a beer every 2-3 months, but I dislike even the mildest effects of alcohol. I instantly become frustrated and uneasy, irritable and prone to sudden gloom. It is simply not worth it. At social events- the few I go to these days :D- I just take GHB to lubricate my stupid gland. I really don't see what's enjoyable about drinking.

Opiates and basically every other drug though, bring it on. :)

Interesting. Not hugely into jazz or jazz rock but can appreciate good shit regardless.

This morning I've been listening to Do Make Say Think , Canadian jazzy post-rock band. Really great stuff. I like this track:
