Wait, educate me. Aren’t they both pyrovalerones? Or is that just an arbitrary name?
And all are part of the cathinone class, like HEXEN, 3-MMC etc…
Alright from the little research I‘ve done the name pyrovalerone comes from the valeric acid and pyrollidine (e.g. MDPV/a-PVP). So a-PPP and a-PHP are technically no pyrovalerones, but they are are pyrollidines/cathinones.

EDIT: I think you can call a-PHP a substituted pyrovalerone though because it contains the pyrovalerone moiety (+ an additional carbon). So it‘s like calling amphetamines or cathinones substituted phenethylamines.

man I've had a week off work then came down with covid been stuck in bed for the entirety of my time off :/
Damn, hope you get better soon man :/

You guys are crazy and I love it!

I hope that you similarly enjoy my insanity on occasion. I consider myself something like a gonzo journalist sometimes. I grew up in the same city as Hunter Thompson did and even attended a church that he wrote about attending when he was a teen. I've read all his books and have a memorial tattoo of him holding a pistol on my chest.

Reading the book 'Fear and Loathing' in high school changed my life.

Do you guys think Hunter blew his own brains out? Did you know his wife thought he was murdered? Ever seen the video where they carried out his burial wishes that he preplanned and launched his ashes out of a rocket?

One of my buddies once told me his favorite tattoo of mine was the one of me on my chest and blew my mind bc he meant the tattoo of Hunter.

Sorry I'm high. Cheers!!

Damm .. sounds like it still hit you pretty hard eh? Good thing you had the one at least, hopefully that will protect you from any long hauler symptoms. My wife has a couple friends who needed up with long haul and it sounds like a major drag.
Thought I had food poisoning at first, started feeling a bit better then it hit me again. Hopefully no long haul symptoms, my lungs are completely pooched but other then that I think it'll be alright.

Just got my teeth cleaned and cavities filled. Wow that was unpleasant. Now my back molar is touching before all the other teeth and it feels weird. The dentist said it should adjust. Hope so, it feels so strange.

Thompson is way way too over rated for nothing, he was a simple human with no other ''creative/aspiring'' whatever rocks ur boat, activity and that is. Of course add this to being lonely for a long time, you will go and write an oracle and bam, hunter S ey

Too overrated for nothing?

That's both a hot, and poor, take.

One of these days electron tell us nore about your work. I am still intrigued, sounds like you head out to remote places and do things.
Yup, I do in fact go to remote places and do things.
I have been wondering how much of what I do I can get away with divulging. I feel like my life is a real easy game of 20 Questions.
For now I will say my job is to collect data and I get sent out to some very remote places to do it. I just got back from a week and half out.
Luckily there was a tiny town in the area with a diner/bar/gas/grocery store so it wasn't purely roughing it. The next job will be the same
but might go as long as three weeks. Luckily there is a dirty old diesel mechanic shop that's not in use any more near my next project I can camp out of.

have had this on heavy rotation for the past few weeks. I saw those guys play an early morning set at a festival some years ago. takes me back...

Man, I have been listening to Ott for so long, classic trip music. I especially like that album, with the live support band. Also the Hallucinogen In Dub album which was essentially Ott and Simon Posford making Hallucinogen tracks into Ott-like psydub jams. That album was my introduction to Ott.

I can sort of agree, but only as much as people made the mistake of thinking of him as something he wasn't. I really appreciate Thompson, Keroauc, Cassidy, and others for providing me a window into the counter-cultures of past eras. Reading Fear and Loathing in Vegas doesn't make you think, "this is a literary masterpiece" and I don't think it was ever meant to be thought of that way. But I love it, its so damn ridiculous its one of the only 2 books I have freely sitting around that I enjoy opening to a random page just start reading passages. The other one is Fight Club.

Quarter of a century old today, same day as Aphex Twin can’t be a coincidence! Body is still doing fine, been absolutely loving swimming and I’m making great progress every time. Gotta work on my overall strength though but with almost daily Ritalin I just don’t eat enough. Mentally things could improve but we’re working on it. All in all, feeling pretty blessed.

If I would happen to do a toast tonight, though I can’t imagine many circumstances where I would willingly put myself in such a situation, I will also think of this place, for all the obvious reasons. It’s a shame that a celebratory trip isn’t an option for the foreseeable future but I live on the memories of all those exceedingly good times. I would go on but maybe I’m already pushing what’s acceptable in such posts, such is life I guess…. anyway, have a good day dudes, I believe I’m right when I say that every single one of you is appreciated by at least 1 other human being =D

Oh man to be 25 again... actually I liked 30 better. But yeah you're in that golden age where you're an adult and starting to get comfortable with that, but your body hasn't broken down at all yet. 30-32 was the absolute pinnacle for me, no body breakdown yet, and all the wisdom of living 30 years. Was better than 25, but 25 was pretty good (other than the abusive marriage and opiate addiction 😬 )

18081996 Happy birthday buzz
Today you are exactly half as old as Aphex Twin

I hope you can enjoy All Day Swimming on this fine birthday:

... and... In honour of RDJs 50th birthday, a few of my favourite songs of his:

I could go on and on though, so many great songs from him over the years

What are your favourite Aphex Twin songs?
