Yeah, I watched that; utterly crazy sonic explorer. When I did sound engineering, we played around with a guitar triggering sound via MIDI, FM modulation of guitar signals sounded really trippy, but it was really poor quality, it kept triggering ghost notes and random artifacts, but Squarepushers rig was almost flawless. I'd love to find some info on how to build a good MIDI guitar, I just can't figure out how you would send even a simply MIDI signal such as NOTE ON.

I cannot believe how hungry smoking weed makes me, I only smoke maybe once every two months, and I am fucking ravenous.
 
i find avocado hard to get right. i mean, i never seem able to pick the best to eat, and they always end up tasting somewhat rubbery.... maybe im just in the wrong part of the world for them :P
 
^ Not hard to get a tasty avocado here in Southern California. They're rather abundant.


If you do manage to get your hands on one, allow me to suggest making some guacamole, and eating it on tortilla chips. YUM!

Or, simply splitting it in half, putting some salsa in the cavity where the pit used to be, and eating it right out of the rind with a spoon!

Or, splitting it in half, and sprinkling a bit of salt and pepper on it.
 
For best use of an avocado, try a chocolate-avocado smoothie. Blend up some avocado along with cocoa powder, almond milk (or whatever kind of 'milk'), and honey. I also like to put in some frozen spinach. It's very creamy and rich, but not super sweet (I guess unless you want it to be and put in a lot of honey)
 
The folks I'm living with eat avocado. I've never had it before the last few weeks. Stuff is alright, weird ass texture though and not much taste. I'm not sure if I like it yet, but I eat it if it's going around.
 
My favorite way to eat avocado is guacamole. I don't really like it by itself, although it is good on burgers and sandwiches (as a replacement for mayo). I did have a really amazing avocado crab salad once at a french restaurant. Always good with mexican food too.

Be careful not to judge avocados in general based on your recent experience.

Some varieties, as you've experienced, are rather tasteless, but others have a rich and complex flavor. I recommend trying to get a good, ripe, Haas avocado.

oh man that sounds goooood. will have to give it a try.. i've always enjoyed the combo of cheese and avocado on a sandwich, especially mozarella. at the college i went to they had a special health food cafeteria (went to a hippie school, haha), where you could get sandwiches with avocado and this tofu/sundried tomato spread that was the best combo i've ever tasted. throw on a little mozarella, a bit of mustard, some sprouts and veggies, and you got yourself a fuckin SANDWICH



i saw human traffic a few years ago.. i remember thinking it was kind of corny but also fun. maybe i'll check it out again

This is driving me nuts. I watched "Griff the invisible", and the first scene where you see the character Melody, there is a song playing. I recognize it, I've heard it before. Its not on the soundtrack. Its a song with female vocals. Its like 8 or 9 minutes in or so.

Its not the kind of music i listen to, but i heard it once and it got freaking stuck in my head, which is why i recognized it in the movie.
