Do you know when "peak BL" happened @Xorkoth ? What year would that have been?
Probably late 2000s if I had to guess. We used to have old forum traffic data for justifying the closure of old unused sub-forums.... wonder how they did that I'm no tech guru

I used to post here daily... not so much lately. I think it has just been a tough year, people are growing older, busier... posting-boards are too thought intensive for the Gen Z crowd when they can just sit there and swipe through TikTok I guess. I do hope we stay open for years to come. Boards like this serve humanity... social media serves itself.

It's pretty easy to track traffic on the web. Every time you load a webpage, the server has to deliver it to you specifically, so the simplest form is just to have a counter that tallies up the number of times a page gets delivered. Google analytics is the usual way that people do tracking though. An embedded script takes that concept way to the next level and tracks all kinds of minutae about activity on the site.

Man, I love this whole deta-8 revolution. I got a 15% off code plus free shipping from my d8 provider. And I buy it with my 3% cashback card lol. And even pay state tax on it. And it comes right to my frickin' door! Great times y'all.

I think the peak year for Bluelight was somewhere in 2009-2013.

We have Google analytics, I just don't have access to it so can't look off the top of my head.

I definitely felt like I was a little late to the party when I signed up in 2013. I can't believe I went so long before clueing into the whole RC world, although it was definitely not "too late" in my jurisdiction by any stretch, perhaps just in time for peak-RC. It's an ever-morphing landscape for sure, and it's pretty amazing what's still available, but I think around 2013-2015 when the new lysergamides were coming onto the picture, and before the big Chinese ban and then Canada's 2C ban, and when the great Spaniard sailed the seas.. wow what an interesting time that was.

@perpetualdawn are you canadian too?

I joined sometime in 2008 but wasn’t very active. I was a little late to the RC party myself, Though I always read erowid as a kid, in high school. It was 2014, maybe 15, when I found the advantages of the clear net and started dabbling in various phenethylamines. shortly thereafter Canada banned 2cs and I moved on to the standard 4sub trypts and 5 meomipt. And it was only last year that I found out the various lysergamides were available domestically. And now I’m seeing the occasional ACH pop up in these parts.

So despite my tartiness I’m stoked to have these options available as I left the scene some years ago and don’t really have access to any of the classics (mushrooms aside) unless it’s through a friend or afoaf at ridiculous prices.

I took some 4-HO-EPT at 2:30 today, and went hiking. Then from about 5 until now ((almost 10) I've been baking my favorite Thanksgiving dishes (a day late), god that was a marathon. I started writing my trip report when I had a few moments here and there and now I'm going to finish it, and smoke some delta-8. That was a marathon of baking and shit! My back hurts but I'm about to eat some of it.

Yeah those were the days... when MXE flowed like water and tons of great stuff was available from a very reliable and professional place. That bust video was heartbreaking for me, did you see it? Buckets full of 2Cs and others, confiscated.

There have been things since then that are amazing, too. Lots of interesting dissociatives and tryptamines that weren't around yet then. Fortunately I had a chance to collect all through both times, but sadly I did not anticipate the disappearance of MXE and have just one dose left. The last time I took a dose, I was thinking maybe I was just looking at MXE with rose colored glasses, and maybe it's not so special, but 30mg orally proved me wrong, it was pure magic, beautiful, I cried, I laughed, I quit drinking for months. Man I miss that stuff.

I haven't bought street drugs in forever, except occasionally some MDMA, and LSD through my friend who lays crystal. RCs are a much better option, as long as I know my source, I am getting pure (or very nearly so) drugs, that are great, and I know how much I'm taking. Street drugs are fucked these days, the cutting and passing off other drugs thing is worse now than I've ever seen it, and prices are nuts.

Costanza in space brother!
Keeping the space theme going

I love your new avatar!!!!

Man, I'm still late to the RCs scene and I arrived in the middle of it over a decade ago. I'm so slow on the uptake. Everything I do in life takes me as long as years to get around to.

I've hitched onto fashion trends not when they were originally hot but when they came back years later. Delayed response to things that aren't immediately necessary, I guess.

One day I'll get me some 2C something or other that was first offered to me so long ago I feel like it was another life. It was for sure before the "catastrophe and fall from grace".

Yeah I always loved Seinfeld =D only sitcom I really enjoyed, although I liked Frasier quite a bit too
Interestingly in Europe it's not popular at all, many have never even heard of it, you'd never guess that it's peak it was more popular than Friends

Always loved Seinfeld too.
I’ve got all the seasons and every now and again I’ll burn through all the seasons again ... one of those shows I can just watch over and over
