Things have been improving over the last couple days I'm going to be getting an apartment in Queens with a good friend of mine which is awesome. And my girl said she still wants me there a few days of work and I'm gonna clean the house and etc. Knew that I just had to keep holding on. It's a pretty damn long subway ride to see her but it's worth it. Going to stay off the jars drugs and pills I want to make her of me. I know that I let her family down but maybe someday they will be able to forgive me in time I love that woman very much. Travelling in the rain this week was crazy the first day when I just got back to the city it was pouring and I legit woke up a 4:00am so I can get up there in time for breakfast.

We are starting to get along together really well again but I still did damage and need to give her some space. I've had people OD in front of me and it was pretty really traumatic. But I'm on the path to do the right things. Was thinkinging about taking a little Phens/Tryps tommorow in the am I have to see how I'm feeling when I get up. Trying practice harm reduction and just mainly use Psychs and some weed here and there maybe have a beer or two when I go out to eat. But all and all I'm happy right now we had great sex the other night and feeling that connection to her again brought the life right back to my soul. She knows I'm gonna just use Psychs and etc sparingly and is cool with that but anymore of these high dose Opioids or Benzos and I'm gonna lose all the ground I just gained and I wont let that happen.

Forgot a charger for my tablet I brought to the room the channels here suck so I'm gonna start watching movies on that and whatnot and my podcasts I like to keep up on. Good to get some exercise as well and I'll probably get moving in hour or something just sitting back sipping Black Tea. She made me a Shepard's Pie which was amazing and I'm about to heat up some now and have an early lunch, woke up at like 5am and only had peanut butter and jelly crackers so far. I'm going to make Chili for dinner and pour it over this Brown/Red Rice Chia and Kale which should be banging and also cook up a couple hotdogs to put some of the Chili on I've been eating alot since this quarantine started. Feeling pretty damn healthy right now I'm happy things are beginning to turn around it was a very difficult month for me.

Intense rollercoaster but I hope things go in the right direction for you CC ! Just need to get a hold of your drug usage. When it's hurting your loved ones and yourself it's really a wake up call not to be missed.

I'm starting to get a hold of doing this working at home thing and I really like it now. I actually find myself more efficient in some ways, but of course, I have a lot less work to do since I can no longer go to the laboratory. Well, having less workload is pretty wellcome too. I know this is a terrible time for a lot of peole but I have found myself actually enjoying many aspects of staying at home. Have spent most of my free time playing music/composing :)

I can't own a gun because of my mmj card

Dude that's the most reefer madness bullshit I've ever heard. "Oh no, that crazy reefer-head's gonna start wildly shooting his gun while he looks for his next rape victim!! He's so high he doesn't know WHAT he's doing!!" That is just absurd. Hopefully as weed becomes fully legal everywhere, that dumbass restriction will disappear. Like, right now legal recreational users don't have any such restriction. But if you have a medical card, you do? So dumb.

Yeah working from home is really weird at first but quite soon it becomes awesome. You're not stuck in an office so as long as you accomplish all your work, you can do whatever you want. It allows you to get SO much more done in your life within work hours (house chores, errands, music practice, etc etc). And if you live with your girl, you can get paid to have sex, too. ;) I got paid for sex today, 10/10 will repeat.

I'm using the Sawyer one, it's a water bottle with a life straw inside. You just fill the bottle and drink through the straw.

Never heard of Sawyer, but it sounds like the Katadyn one. It was so frustrating to suck water through that one time when we were up on the Georgian Bay coast in the dead heat of summer, on the fifth day of sucking through it, I gave up and just dipped my mug in the lake and that's how we discovered Lake Huron (at least in Georgian Bay) isn't going to kill you just so easily.

You sound like you live in paradise: spring water, national forest, etc

Is that for real? What sort of ass-backward shit is that?
Dude, half my country would be disqualified. I'm pretty sure there are parts of British Columbia where the RCMP won't process your gun licence unless you DO smoke weed, in fact. :ROFLMAO:

These guys are getting paid for sex and I'm stuck on the jobsite looking at my colleague's ugly mug with a mask on it all day....I guess the mask does hide most of that ugly mug, but there ain't no sex to be had.
Then I come home to my records and books and even if I could sex a 12" I wouldn't be getting paid for it.

Some people, man.... ;)

Just got back from band practice. Man, these "quarantine jams" have been so good. We've been getting into some really deep stuff, our drummer is away, with his dad in New York. So the rest of us have been jamming and coming up with new ideas, and man is there some good stuff going down. Came up with a new song today, or an idea anyway, it was all improv but it's such a heavy-hitting song. Spontaneously learned some covers, too. Music is such good medicine for the soul, I seriously hope they don't institute enforced curfews like I have heard murmurs of. Playing music with my band is the best thing there is. We may have all of our Spring/Summer plans cancelled but at least we can still get together and be creative. ❤

Yeah pretty much, I'm really lucky. :) I love Appalachia so much.

That's such bullshit... glad I smoke in an illegal state. I just bought my first firearm, simply lied on the 'have I ever done drugs' question.

Please make sure you spend some time practicing using it especially if you bought a handgun. Ammo is hard to come by right now but it's important to become familiar with shooting a gun and going to the range often to keep the learned skills.

Don't worry, this may be be my first purchase but I'm well versed in firearm use. I was in the military for a period and have been shooting since I was 13. My wife just wouldn't let me buy one until now. I go shooting with my in-laws fairly often.

Funny enough ammo for the caliber I got is available locally currently. It's a less common ammo, isn't flying off the shelves like 9mm.

While we're talking about water filters, can I get some recommendations? I want one for when I go on trail runs where I can't bring as much water on my person as I'll need. Has anyone used one that is ultra compact and lightweight? Ideally i'd just strap it to my arm or something

Get one of these guys and any container would work besides a water bag that has the water pouch with a tube running from it to drink from.

Katadyn pouch with built-in filter in the cap. I have the 1L but I think they have a 500mL as well. It's a bit pricey, I guess at ~45$CAD at MEC here, but we'll worth it at 1000L filter capacity. Flows pretty quickly, I think something like 1.5L/min which is at least thrice as fast as the bottles with built-in filter straws.

Never tried the LifeStraw though, so don't know the flow rate of that one.

Though, the Katadyn bladder I mentioned is so useful in my opinion that I'm never switching.
Just a straw would be fun to have so I could go around fucking about by slurping water out of the endless swamps around here though.

Yeah I was looking at a Sawyer mini. Typically all I carry is these two water bottles with handstraps to make it easy to carry when running. There’s a lil pocket on the outside of each and I think could stash it in one of those

Those things are like 9 in long which may be a bit much for my limited storage capacity

Yeah, but depending where you're hiking you might be able to forego carrying water and just carry the straw... Or maybe just carry a smaller water container or some kind that can be refilled with whatever nasty water you find.

Edit: Imagine tripping using one of those straws to drink out of a nasty stream.... Watching all them particles as you suck water through to ingest you're not able to visually confirm is clean. That would be gnarly

This one I use is a Sawyer water bottle with a filter in it, a life straw with a bottle to hold it.

I have never drank nasty looking water with it, but where I live, the water flowing around the mountains is really clear and almost always fine to drink without a filter... but just in case I use it. But you're supposed to be able to drink even stagnant/gnarly water safely, even though it would still probably taste gross.
