I also had to listen to a lecture that started with off with the definition of drug abuse being "any non-medicinal use of a drug".

...even then, semantics necessitate a universal meaning for "non-medicinal use". (Daily)Cannabis and (occassional) various psychedelics can be very good/strong medicine. Does the instructor mean to say that if I take LSD 2x/year w/ purpose or psilocybin to isolate and correct a source of anxiety or mental anguish that it's not abuse but medicinal use? To me it is but I don't think that reasoning would fare well with the courts.

^ Nope, if it doesn't follow mainstream medical guidelines for a drug's use it is abuse. At least she admitted that recreational use of alcohol is in there too.

It still pissed me off though. Responsible, non-medical use is against the rules apparently.

after abusing things like m1, mdma or mephedrone brain zaps are very common.
When ive had them they would happen usually just as im falling asleep. As my conscious starts to slip away i get a shock in the brain that wakes me right up.
sometimes random ones can happen through out the day.
And while they dont hurt, they are very unpleasant a little unnerving.

dont you think you should stop the drugs that are causing you small seizures? Seriously man thats not good man and could indicate that the drug is going to precipitate a grand mal seizure at some point in the future.

Hahaha awesome

but seriously the stuff is really good . Much nicer than MA. it is a good Amp both for utility and for fun ...

Same stuff as the old school Benzedrine inhalers my mom used to do lol

going to austin today ! and cant wait this weekend should be filled with bursts of dmt and all kinds of stuff hope everyone is having a good day im so excited <3

i dont think brain zaps are seizures ........

Brain zaps are caused by low serotonin. The same thing happened to me when I came off Celexa cold turkey... and they're very hard to categorize... its like all of a sudden you get a zap in the nervous system and it can sometimes be paralyzing...

As for not adding the tryptophan sooner, I've had paradoxical (read: nasty) reactions with it before so I try to be good with my tryptophan usage... I drank an Emergen-C (mmm Tangerine) and took a 500mg of the Blue Bonnet brand (best brand for aminos) and was feeling mighty fine shortly after. Gonna take another Emergen-C and 500 today and might toss in some L-Glutamine as well.

I have those things where I'm falling asleep in class or in my car waiting for the ferry and I'll sharply jump up in a huge wake-up spasm. Annoying and scary but it doesn't happen too often.

I didn't think that's what a brain zap was though.
Its not a brain zap.
I get what you're talking about too. As i fall asleep on a bus, or train, or anywhere where im sitting up really, as im falling asleep i get the feeling that im falling, than my head rolls forwards and that wakes me up.

The brain zaps were completely different.
The only similarity being they happened often before falling asleep. And would happen several times before i was able to fall asleep.

You make it sound like i use these things all the time.

The incident i was talking about happened to me once, when i went a little overboard with IVing mephedrone.
And the only other time i can recall having brain zaps was from eating 1/2g of molly with 2cb and Ketamine one NYE (i was seeing the disco biscuits, it seemed appropriate).

should i stop using them? No, i dont think so. I tend to have pretty good self control 90% of the time.
Should i stop smoking pot because it could cause cancer?:p;)

Man I wish I wasn't afraid of needles. I want to IM some of this K. I'm having trouble even getting an OBE. It is frustrating.

have a friend do it for you.
Thats how i got my first shot of K.
I bet that you will like it so much you'll forget your fear of needles. (mine turned into a sort of fetish)

Docs down there seem like they look for the slightest things to justify the script.

Oh ya, no one up here gets amphetamine. There's methylphenidate but that's the only ADD med scripted and you have to be pretty off the wall to be diagnosed for ADD.

Come to think of it we're far more conservative with medications. The US seems to love their Pharma.

My psychiatrist, a very caring but grossly misinformed lady, actually became incensed when I told her about my use of xanax in the past. Not because I had used xanax, but because I had stopped using xanax. She was like "you shouldn't EVER stop taking xanax! That would be like a diabetic discontinuing their insulin!"

I was flabbergasted by such a response. Never in a million years would I expect a medical professional to say that.

Not to mention that all I had to do to walk out with 3 scripts, for Xanax, Vyvanse, and Adderall, was go into the office and fill out a computerized questionnaire. It asked me nothing about my symptoms. It only told me to enter my insurance information and also to check the box beside the condition(s) I'm 'suffering from'.

I checked the "ADHD" and "Panic Disorder" boxes.

An hour later I was picking my scripts up from the pharmacy... :\

Big Pharma has shit on lock down here, especially in Texas. The MHMR board down here is a bunch of crooked bribe-taking ogres that live in the pockets of big pharma.

Its still the wild west out here, in many different ways, no doubt about it.

I've heard it theorized that the sensation of falling has to do with your brain preparing for sleep by partially paralyzing the body to prevent injury during dreams. The sudden shift from feeling your body against the mattress or whatever to feeling something much less is interpreted as falling in midair. I had only heard of paralysis occurring with REM sleep, and usually you only go right back into REM after waking from REM and returning, but perhaps a similar mechanism kicks in during hypnogogia.

^Those have precipitated my last two major existential crises. I hate the stress of constantly being reminded I don't really know what I want to do with my life just like I was worried about after high school ended eleven years agoyet I need to convince a bunch of people who know their shit that what I have been doing has been specifically about what I want them to let me do. Dammit, I just want to keep learning and not having to endure the monotony and the falling asleep at a desk until after 11 a.m when I naturally wake up and the feeling of alienation and being an intellectual whore I've felt at every decent-paying full time job I've ever had!

Anyone have any experience with oral dose's of am-694? I can't really find any info about that ROA out there.

I've grown to like it alot, It fills me with a sense of calm, and I can absorb the beauty of my surroundings well.

It has a very different atmosphere than Jwh's, and it last's so long for me, almost 12 hours.

Definitely makes me smile more than the j-dubs. =D

Yeah, you have to find parts 2 and 3 afterwards since it's in 3 parts. That episode blew my mind. There are 4 other episodes too... they're all equally mindblowing.
