recently on the forums saw a bler with a screen name visitor q... that movie was fuckin nuts! anyone else seen it?
Yes, the first time I responded to a post of his I mentioned the movie -- really twisted film by Takashi Miike. Lactation is a somewhat common theme in his films BTW, as is deviant sex.

There's a thread devoted to him in Film and Television. My favorites of his are Ichi the Killer (many people's favorite), Izo (kind of like Thus Spake Zarathustra adapted to film if that makes any sense to you), a short film that's part of the film Three Extremes called Box, a film banned from showing during Showtime's Masters of Horror series called Imprint that's excruciating to watch due to a torture scene but has super moody moments that make it great horror (it's actually more provocative than Visitor Q believe it or not), and Dead or Alive. Ichi and Dead or Alive are the ones I recommend for newcomers - lots of fun and highly entertaining. The other two are much heavier surreal films. Gozu is also worth a look. Bird People of China is also good, but is actually a very nice, uplifting film. It's to Miike what The Straight Story is to David Lynch. It may sound like I've listed everything the guy has made, but he's one of the most prolific film makers of all time.

hey does anyone ever get kinda bummed at the fact that shulgin never did more with the 2c-g idea? like maybe an ethyl methyl instead of just dimethyl, or like ethyl propyl.

or how about the tfm idea, why not iodo methyl or chloro methyl. the ethyls too.

what gives? those should rock.

is there some instability or metabolism crisis im not seeing?

Mannnnn! There's a whole lotta weed in under the keys of my keyboard! I guess that's what happens when you use your computer as a rolling/packing surface at least once (sometimes 10+ times) per day for 2 years. Now if only i could get it all out. ;)

Fuck MDMA induced unintentional emotional bonding :(

Whats up guys :) I love hash oil.

A like button wouldn't be a bad idea actually. It makes me feel good when I see approval from my peers lol.

I think I remember someone posting about something similar in the Support forum. The mods say they don't want BL to be a popularity contest -- probably just because they're big nerds.

its interesting, for me the like button has become more than a word. its taken on a new meaning, its practically a gesture, and one that can be used in many ways for things. in the english language many words are understood by the context they are used in. even entire sentences and ideas (expressions) are only understood under certain contexts.

the "like" button can be used in a similar way, and for facebook users it has been incorporated into the digital subcultures language, so much so that to get across the same sentiment or feeling to something, perhapse to proporly display humor, or to signal some sort of inside reference etc, the "like" button must be employed.

knowing who "likes"* what (and sometimes knowing, to the knowledge of a select few why) enables forms of communication not before obtainable without the like button.

*and i say "likes" because it can be more than just actually liking something. for instance it could be used for more than genuinely just likeing something.

its hard to explain really.

Lol :)

I'm going to be talking about this for a while I feel like, I totally fell for a girl at a fest and now I can't stop thinking about her. I probably won't even see her again and she stopped replying to facebook messages. I shouldn't really care about this, god damned molly. hahahaha

if they dont want a popularity contest why do they have a post count? ;)

you can take it and spin it any way you like. one person could say its for popularity, another could say to gauge how knowledgeable someone is, the relevancy of a poster perhaps...
for personal reference.

it looks pretty...

etc.

as for the like button thing...

for instance i would press the "like" button for nearjat's last post.

what is it that i like about this post? im not sure. its a gesture expressing a shared understanding, an empathy of sorts in this situation while also bringing in a lighthearted element

btw we need more flashing color avatars on bl
er.. pd at least

The other thing they said, if I recall correctly, was that they wanted a post's content to stand on its own merits (implying that a certain number of "likes" creates an artificial perception of quality whose rationale is ambiguous compared to a reply describing why someone likes something). I've never used a like button so I don't know what to think regarding the virtues or deficits of how I'd use it in practice. Does it, like emoticons, sometimes become a crutch that in practice often precludes more eloquent and contemplative modes of expression? Or are people dissuaded by having to think about and type up their precise opinions, and so something like a like button is the only way they'll bother to communicate any feeling at all?

Like this post as well :) This better not become a PD meme lol.

Is there anything cool I can do with hash oil other than smoke it?

One of my friends on facebook makes it his mission to like everything that can be liked from all his friends' feeds.
