The cool thing with ableton is all you have to do is click a knob or anything and an automation lane appears for you, for ANYTHING.

What do you mean by automation clip?

And no problem! DatsiK and Excision are awesome. If you need any recommendations, let me know. So many great songs by them.

My favorite remix of Swagga is the D-jahsta Remix (although in Excision's Shambhala 2010 Mix he mixed it a little differently and I like it).

One awesome song by DatsiK that I've been listening to a lot more recently after a break from it is "Retreat" by DatsiK. I definitely recommend listening to it! I was bumping it all day in my car today =D
 
Guess I got my swagga back :) I'm starting to drift away from the "HOLY SHIT HEAVY" dubstep.. I like the mellower garage-style stuff like Skream much better

holy shit I'm SO confused about ableton live.. i cant even make a fuckin sound come out lol
 
dubstep is too big here, pisses me off. I think i hate the moronic fans of dubstep (the type of people that have lame facebook statuses like 'i dub i step' and say other retarded dubstep related vocabulary) more than the genre itself, which although annoying, isn't un-avoidable like people are. The thing that i strongly dislike is the dubstep that has no depth or anything, its just made for that annoying wobble.

I listen to a lot of stuff other than the really heavy stuff as well, but I'm only fond of a few of Skream's songs. I have a feeling you will like this =D

As for Ableton, I was the same way. I didn't necessarily give up on it, but I just downloaded Reason 5 and it seems like that may be something I can work a lot better with (even though I wish you could use VSTs :\)

I'm thinking about taking 700-900mg of DXM tomorrow. I don't have anything going on, no work and no class. I know I maybe should wait till I get my k, but who knows when it'll come... fuck customs. I'd love a enjoyable dissociative experience as well as the wonderful anti-depressant properties (I find that dxm also exhibits the this).
