PC gaming vs Console gaming

Getting pissed with your mates isn't the same around a pc.

Many a night out has been perfected with a wind down spliff on a sofa with the boys smashing buttons until the sun comes up. Not the same if they are in another room with head set.

I guess the pc gamer is a solitary beast who thinks a crackly phone line is friendship, and the console freak needs his buddy's.

PC > Consol, bar none, but nothing, no excuses

I can play just about any game on my PC with any controller, but I dont because PC games with a keyboard / mouse are the best.

The ONLY thing I can say I like about consols is the not-online multiplayer. If your 15 and all your friends cant afford laptops yet, then sure, go ahead and get a $200 consol so all your friends can play too.

Console gaming is much better for me because I have trouble reacting quick enough when I use the keyboard/mouse, and since I mostly play FPS reaction time is crucial. I was a pc gamer for about a year or so when Halo:CE was online, but that's about it.

I'm addicted to computers though so makes sense.

I do love consoles also, PS3 to be exact. I never got this whole consoles give you headaches and all. None of my consoles have ever fucked up once or froze etc like everyone always bitches about?

Digital Duality I agree, the ps3 has been coined the mini home supercomputer cause it pretty much is that. It's a more powerful pc then most people have in there home.

You can reformat and wipe the included playstation software off the ps3 and install Windows or Linux. Or create a dual boot PS3 and then it's a computer.

I was thinking of buying 4 PS3's and hook em up together and use the processing power of all 4 consoles as a computer. Ive seen it done and it looks amazing.

The only reason the 360 costs so little is that it doesn't include things like a wireless controller, rechargeable batteries, blu-ray player, free online, etc.

Honestly just buying a 360 and paying to play online for 3-4 years is going to mean you've spent as much money as you would on a PS3 which has free multiplayer and all the additional perks like wireless/rechargable/blu-ray/whatever.

Wouldn't surprise me at all to learn Microsoft is selling them at a loss to make back that money with online fees. Makes me so fucking mad that people let themselves get nickled and dimed into paying more than a better system in the end.

Guess it's the American way though.. ITS ONLY A FEW DOLLARS EVERY MONTH! WHAT ARE YOU POOR?!?!

Consoles all the way, just the shame the Xbox 360 death rate is so high and Microsoft have let it go for years not addressing the problems

^ Yeah xbox sucks theres no doubt about it. The first xbox is apparently out of production, while the ps1 is still going strong in some countries. The ps2 is the biggest seller of all time, and the ps3's lifespan should see it end up beating nintendo and xbox eventually.

PC is such a more flexible system. You can do a million other things in between games. Not to mention keyboard/mouse is so much better than controllers. I refuse to ever play FPS on console, its just incredibly cumbersome. Not to mention the idea of trying to play RTS with a controller... yea right..
