Happens to me every night! It's wd. If you take a dose the sweats will stop.
I have never experienced any type of w/d not even night sweats. I chew 2 or 3 60mg oxycontin about 5 times a day every day. My last dose is around 7pm. I wake up at 9am feeling pefectly fine. I suppose everyone's body is different, huh?
That's because your last dose was at 7PM, that's late. It happens at night if your last dose was around morning or lunch time. Doesn't usually start happening until you've been doing it for months. Not everybody reacts the same or suffer like this.

I usually need a dose around midnight or so to prevent it. When I see my dr I'm gonna tell him I don't think my long acting is working the full 12 hours. This is oxymorphone sweats though.
OP if you have breakthrough pain Meds take some when the sweats start or even before they normally would so you can avoid this discomfort.
pupils are pinned most of the time. its honestly not that w/d uncomfortable feeling just the wetness that gets cold. its happened just when i left the heater on. i;ve moved since posting this and i've only had it happen once which leads me to believe the wood burning furnace was burning just way too hot at night at the old house. lets close this one down please mods.
My problem is not one of abuse, it is one of tolerance. I'm looking at alternatives to Oxycontin for pain control because without an analgesic of some sort I am totally unable to function. I'm not looking to get off of meds, because frankly without them life itself would be come not worth living. I'm not looking to become a bed ridden burden on my family and would prefer a bullet in the mouth before it came to that. My problem right now is what can I try/do to settle the sweats down or preferably eliminate them. Somebody has mentioned the drug EXALGO and I've confirmed it's efficacy with my pharmacist. She said talk to my Doctor tomorrow and see if I could take it as an alternative to Oxycontin.
How do you know that w/d isn't the issue? I think that its from coming down off the oxycodone. Its the only thing that makes sense.
