i've been using oxy for quite some time now. The past month i've woken up every night at 2 or 3 am and the bed is literally soaked. its starts to seep over to my wifes side as well. anyone else experience this? w/d is not the issue

it happened to me in the summer

oxy will make you sweat though

but not a soaking type sweat

some problems arent drug related though

i would taper off and see if it lessens

it's the beginnings of w/d. even after the first month of so of using ~30mg/day I was waking up sweaty with a stuffy nose every morning, which a line instantly fixed.

as someone who just quit a fairly mild problem habit, I'd say get out while it's still really easy to.

i've been using oxy for quite some time now.

with a long history of oxy use i'd defiantly say this a symptom of early withdrawal.

this happens to me almost nightly unless i'n on benzos. there's usually about a 12 hour gap between my last oxy dose of the night and my first dose when i wake. like clock work after about 5 hours of sleep i wake up sweating and by morning my hair is basically drenched.

the only other thing i can think is if you take a large dose then go right to bed. i could see that possibly causing some major sweating. i know i start to sweat pretty bad from large doses of oxy.

yes when i used to use it would.

i used to get high in the morning usually, and then it wouldnt happen until WDs

but sometimes id get high in the morning and at night, and those nights it would happen the most, so it wasnt the WDs.

you should put a kiddie pool on your side of the bed

can't see how its early w/d's i do a moderate redose close to bed time. i think its that i've been using a wood burning stove lately and its just been really hot at night when i'm sleeping. i dunno close this one down mods please

well i know i'm dependant its pretty obvious if i said i've been using for some time now

if your sure its not withdrawal then it's probably unrelated to the oxy. especially if this is happening nightly. your best option would be to get checked out by a doctor if this continues as there is a host of medical issues that could be causing this. some of them serious, cancer, heart infection, neurological conditions.

that's about the best advice we can offer. good luck to you and hopefully it's nothing serious.

Just a shot in the dark, but are you taking an antidepressant like Paxil? Because I have been taking Paxil for about two months now, and I just recently have been experiencing terrible, terrible nightmares and night sweats. It is definitely the Paxil, and I have since gone off of it.

immediate response, 'it IS w/d related'. I am an oppiate addict, and always dose before bed (as to try to make me NOT sweat). I recently (a year ago..., the time warp of addiction) checked my mattress and it has a big yellow stain on my half of the bed (I now sleep alone, yay for another effect of addiction, being alone).

So, you can still sweat at night, while dosing at night before you sleep. How are you taking your Oxy, and are you taking IR or ER oxy? If IR, regardless of method: with regular use you'll be sweating 4+ hours after taking it. Esp if taking it other than orally.

Its been my experience (5 yrs worth) that profuse sweating is the first sign of Oxy wd's. For me it's like clockwork, first profuse sweating day or night, then hystamine symptoms, then stocmach and of course no sleeping. The worst part of Oxy wd's for me was the insomnia.

If insomnia was the worse symptom of withdrawal for you than your lucky. :)

If you are certain its not w/d maybe you should speak to your doctor.

I have never experienced any type of w/d not even night sweats. I chew 2 or 3 60mg oxycontin about 5 times a day every day. My last dose is around 7pm. I wake up at 9am feeling pefectly fine. I suppose everyone's body is different, huh? But I have never had to go without either. Even when I run out early I always manage to find either oxy or hydro on the streets.
