looking for a site that gives you long term side effects of oxycodone, oxycotin abuse. preferabbly how it effects behavior, mood and weight in a person.

You stated in your other post that you have a problem with 'hydrocodone oxycodone'
The only long term side effects of opiates
are constipation and addiction.
I think a bit of introspection will afford
you your answers.

I've been taking oxycodone on and off, but mostly on for 8 years. Asides from addiction, real no problems. High daily dosages above 80mgs may contribute to depression.
Worst part: psychological cravings.

so i won't act any different, lose any weight, change my personality? another person is saying that i've lost weight and i am acting totally off the wall all the time and is contributing it to my addiction

Physically the drugs won't direcly do anything to your body.
But if you're in the middle of an opioid addiction, yeah, personality changes, not eating regularly, acting off-the-wall... this is unsurprising.
Also, serious addiction of any kind DOES CHANGE YOUR BRAIN... you're gonna be more prone to cravings, just like Soviet said... possibly for a long time.

I had been using oxycodone for a long time behind my girlfriends back. Primarily just on weekends. She never noticed.
Then I started using heroin daily. She called me on my moods and then figured out what was causing my personality to become so eccentric and moody.
I quit for 2 weeks then started again and she's had no clue for months that I still use.
Something like oxycodone will effect your moods, particularly while you're on it. But otherwise I think it's a matter of being able to look at yourself from an outside view and really consider how you act. I know that when I go to work on oxycodone or heroin I feel like a million bucks, but I realize that I end up talking everyones ear off and act overly outgoing and weird people out and it's noticeable although they just think I'm hyper. Off heroin or oxy anymore.. nothing noticeable. I tend to binge for a few weeks, tapering off at the end then stop for a week or two to keep my tolerance down so I can afford my habit and stay halfway sane. The only real mood altering factor I notice is that the longer I use and the less space I give for a break, I seem to develop a short term depression that especially picks up during withdrawal and immediately after my withdrawal symptoms are gone.

PHYSICALLY - Nothing really... stuff like colon problems (from being constipated) are easily prevented from taking laxitives, taking breakes, or just having a good fiber diet... other then that, there is no physical damage done...
MENTALLY & PSYCHOLOGICALLY - Once yer addicited then you suffer all the problems of an addict... the cravings are hell but thats life ..
Honestly, out of all the drugs you could be addicited to, narcotics are the best! The gods honest truth - I LIKE my narcotics addiction...

yeah , I would say opiates are the best thing to be addicted to but the depression is terrible in my case. I can't blame the substances because I was depressed before , but I will say the depression has gotten worse since I started using. When you start to come down , you realize things about your behavior that you didn't see before , but when it gets right down to it , life is pretty harsh no matter what.
When I was young , I used to think depression was cool and made people unique , but now I would do anything in reason just to be normal and ignorant to how fucked up life really is.
