so i won't act any different, lose any weight, change my personality? another person is saying that i've lost weight and i am acting totally off the wall all the time and is contributing it to my addiction
I had been using oxycodone for a long time behind my girlfriends back. Primarily just on weekends. She never noticed.
Then I started using heroin daily. She called me on my moods and then figured out what was causing my personality to become so eccentric and moody.
I quit for 2 weeks then started again and she's had no clue for months that I still use.
Something like oxycodone will effect your moods, particularly while you're on it. But otherwise I think it's a matter of being able to look at yourself from an outside view and really consider how you act. I know that when I go to work on oxycodone or heroin I feel like a million bucks, but I realize that I end up talking everyones ear off and act overly outgoing and weird people out and it's noticeable although they just think I'm hyper. Off heroin or oxy anymore.. nothing noticeable. I tend to binge for a few weeks, tapering off at the end then stop for a week or two to keep my tolerance down so I can afford my habit and stay halfway sane. The only real mood altering factor I notice is that the longer I use and the less space I give for a break, I seem to develop a short term depression that especially picks up during withdrawal and immediately after my withdrawal symptoms are gone.
