Oxy vs Dope... Smack by popular demand

When I used to sniff I would have said that (assuming money was no issue to pay extra for the oxy). But shooting..there is just no comparison. But around here the dope is consistent day after day week after week.. so your not gambling.
 
id take a bag of harlem dope any day...from brooklyn, been to newark and paterson... shit sucked everytime i went... i think them boys over there cut theyr shit w xanax or sleeping pills, the comment about iced tea was very true as far as what ive seen from p town, theres a reason its only no prices a bun...one bag of harlem diesal is easily bout the same as an 0c80, at least from my guy ha

I'll take oxymorphone instead. Both oxycodone and heroin's durations are to short. Heroin is a bit more euphoric, but oxycodone has a more comfortable body sensation/less nausea. I'd go with heroin over oxycodone in the long run, but neither can compete with oxymorphone. Oxymorphone is imo 10x more euphoric than both oxycodone and heroin, the duration is double both of them (8 hours instead of 4), and has the most comfortable body sensation out of all opioids I've tried. I don't inject, so the ROA is oral for oxycodone (fuck snorting, lower BOA, shorter dura), insufflation heroin (I can careless about a rush, I've had IV hydromorphone and eh), and insufflation for oxymorphone. The rush is the least important quality imo for opioids, its more about duration and body high. I want to be able to nod 6+ hours straight if I want w/o redosing, and feel like I'm wrapped in an floating warm blanket with the right about amount of histamine release. A slow come up is fine for me, it's a fun, exciting experience feeling the effects slowly creep on.

Granted when my tolerance was lower I used to find tramadol and buprenorphine to as good if not better than heroin (I'd be able to nod on both, but also get stimulation if I need to get shit done). Same could be said about methadone when I'd dose less than 60mgs max 2 days in a row (also when I had just a slightly lower opioid tolerance, once I pushed the dose past 60mgs methadone lost a lot of its magic). Tramadol would last ~8-10 hours when I could nod off of 300-500mgs (now i don't get any opioid feelings just SNRI stimulation). Buprenorphine would last 24-36 hours with a large portion of it being me nodding out but enough stimulation to be able to destroy working a shift if focused, this at 4-6mgs (now I don't get much besides an anti-depressant effect, and slight stimulation). I hate being high for a few hours and jonesing for the rest of the day if I don't have the cash lying around.
 
When it comes down to it, it depends on a persons connection. If a persons Heroin connection is of excellent quality then I would assume the typical person would choose Heroin. The problem in many places across the United States is quality will vary significantly, luckily I live in Chicago and don't have this problem. But if I did, I would definitely choose OC's because at least you know it's a clean, safe and a potent high.

The old 80's actually were the most potent of the oxycodone preparations in terms of active ingredient by mass. Check out this thread if you haven't yet. One of the biggest surprises in that thread was that the OC 40s were more potent by weight than Roxi 30s. Those 30s seem so small that adding more of their same mixture to achieve 40mg of oxy would result in a pill that weighed less than the OC 40s, but apparently not.
 
Maybe they do have more active ingredient by weight but if I crush a 40 and a 30 side by side the difference is pretty extreme IMO. Not to mention that there is no time release to go along with it. I don't know its all just preference anyways but I have always preferred 30s Mg for Mg not just because I think they hit harder but also because you just crush and snort. There's no need for a grinder or extra time.
 
That's crazy you would prefer roxis over the old OCs. For me not only was the high better from the OCs, they would last longer too. The only benefit I see with roxi is easier preparation, like you said.
 
By the time that the old OCs were gone, and roxis were more popular, I had pretty much switched to taking oxycodone orally, so not that much of a preference between the two for me. I will say that I prefer sniffing a white powder as opposed to a blue powder though.

The original OCs really didn't have much of a time release outside of the outer coating that you could get off pretty easily. It's not like other time releases that gel up or burn or something.

Yeah, that and for some reason the drip from the roxis is so much nastier or something. I don't know if it's the consistency of the powder or what but it always makes me sour in the stomach for a couple of minutes right after I snort roxis where I never had that problem with the old OCs (which are/were my favorite pill ever made, I'd love to find a stash of old ones or some CDNs or something)
 
^ I agree with you about the old OC. I can still taste that drip.

Roxies weren't bad to snort to me, but nothing will ever compare to OC. Rest in peace.
 
Man, I always find switching it up... cross tolerance and some other shit. Sometimes I wanna get out and do some shit (smurfs) and sometimes I wanna sit on the couch and dream all day (d-block). 7 times outta 10 im tryin to hit the dope nod, but sometimes you jus got shit to do...
 
It seems people that prefer heroin over OC's is because its about money, heroin is cheaper. I remember when the old OC 80's were going for cheap 8 or 9 years ago...........crazy how the demand drove up the price.

I have mixed feelings on this thread... As an IV user I prefer oxymorphone/hydromorphone for the rush, but IMO nothing compared to the high from some good dope. As for oxycodone, I can take it or leave it, but there is something to be said for being able to gauge your exact doseage everytime.

I've heard at least 10 people say the same exact thing while I was in rehab.
 
I do dope, but I still prefer oxy if it wasn't so goddamn expensive and hard to find. Dope makes my body feel all nice and cozy but I like oxy more overall. I've done many different ones, I often do opana too and while opana nods are the best I still hold a high regard for oxy. Then again I don't IV so who knows, heroin is better that way, but it doesn't matter much to me as I don't do it.
