Oxy vs Dope... Smack by popular demand

I went from doing 2 80mg oxys a day, to 3 bags of dope a day, so I stand by my 1bag=60mg oxy (well I guess technically 54mg). The thing is, it is way easier to get a nod off of dope, so when habits get bigger that conversion/equivalence no longer applies. Some people end up needing so much oxycodone to nod since it is more stimulating, that the amounts I listed before do not move up proportionally.

I cannot comment on hydromorphone equivalency to average dope, since I have only taken it a few times (orally), and usually after morphine (also orally).
 
All I have to contribute to this conversation is that price varies by region a LOT. I once paid <snip> for some dope, and got in return a (LITERALLY) 25mg rock of something that may or may not have been raw H, I dunno because I couldn't feel it. I bitched the guy out up and down and tried to get my money back, but didn't get anywhere. Another time I got a bag for <snip> that was a solid 400mg or so, but was literally 90% diphenhydramine and did nothing at all to me. This is in the midwest, BTW. I've heard there was some amazing shit going around this town for cheap a few months ago (back when I was into this stuff), but I personally never found it. I'm sure in big cities things are different, but here would I could get Oxy 30s for <snip> depending on quantity, and Opana 10s for <snip>, dope was never an option at <snip> for a small bag I couldn't feel and that was cut to shit. Blowing 40mg of oxymorphone (equivalent to at least 100-200mg of totally raw H) always seemed like a better option at <snip> than blowing a bunch of random powder that did nothing for me. So like others have said, this is totally a regional thing.

i like oxy but the h i had here was better. i don't know about cheaper but in the central ny area h isn't easy to come by so I stick to oxy and hydro. i don't understand how these people in big cities do it. maybe big city operations do h on a really big scale and can get it out in such high volume its a lot cheaper. in this area pills seem to be chaper. i guess it all depends on the area?

fuck ya dope operations are big scale. dope is everywhere here, easy to get if youre street smart. real dealers have 1-2 oz's on em. it doesnt stop. shits bizness.

either way stop dealin with the white boys and talk to some black dude or some purto rican dudes (or whateer latino group is most prominent) but especially someone from the city or nj and had plugs with stamps and will bring it up..im sure you would have to buy a brick at least but so what..if prices are what you suggest you prolly can flip half and make your money back and have the other half to kill yourself with

I've been going back-and-forth between oxycodone and heroin this past week, so I wanted to revisit this thread. I still think that I prefer the oxycodone high over heroin, and knowing the exact dose that I am taking is an obvious advantage of oxycodone pills. I'm surprised at how similar I find the highs to be, especially since I find heroin and oxycodone to feel more similar than heroin and morphine or oxymorphone.

I love the body high that I get from oxycodone, even more than that of heroin. Oxy gives me this feeling in my stomach that makes me feel so light and excited. It's like the euphoria starts there, and moves throughout the rest of my body.

I find this to be a very interesting debate, and I think that we will see more and more people making the switch from oxycodone to heroin with the shift in availability due to stricter prescription monitoring programs, and drug cartels taking advantage of this.

i remember when i was scared of heroin but was doing about 70mgs of opana a day (from when i wake up to when i sleep) and i would take a tiny bump of dope and i would feel the effects even with a decent oxy tolerance.

its just that when im doing dope, oxys dont work. if i stop from dope and am clean for a while, a couple months, im sure oxy would have me noddin
 
I fucking loved oxy taking those 80's and nodding like a motherfucker. Except I got clean because the addiction was making me so worn out and I wasn't even out of high school yet. So now I tried some heroin and I still wouldn't mind some oxy's....they aren't that much different to me. The thing that makes me like heroin more though is the price. Its too crazy spending all that money on one oxycontin pill when you could get heroin for cheaper. It doesn't seem worth it to me anymore. I know I should just stay away from both though. I love how I use to look down at heroin but I was so into oxy's and in the end one isn't better than the other (addiction wise not talking about the nodding/high factor).
 
I'll bite. :)

I like oxy and I like Heroin. As one who gets a script of oxyxodone IR each month I have discovered it is a GREAT in between drug. When I am low on H or OUT of H, oxy makes it so I no longer feel the NEED to go cop. I snort my oxy-enjoy the immediacy of effects, it DOES get me nodding if that is the goal. The 'high' is definitely enjoyable. HOWEVER, H (esp IV'd) creates an immediate wafmth, a glowy feeling. A blanket of love and reassurance that no other opiate gives me. (not even dilaudid-which is almost always a phone call away) I prefer H. I also find it easier to taper with shots of H than insufflating Oxy. This is because the Heroin high (not the rush) lasts so long. My last shot of H was at 3pm today, it's after 11pm now and I am feeling fine enough to sleep. If I only had oxy and took it at 3lm... I'd have needed tk redose no doubt by now. (with oral ROA I could last longer btwn doses, obviously)

A single bag of NJ dope is like an oc 80 if you get fire.. so wtf are you doing still buying pills.

I would shoot a bag of NYC dope over an oc 80 any day. in a heart beat. You'd have to be stupid to choose the oxy.

100% Right On That. Good Nyc/North Jerz Dope = Around An 80. But Peep This...At One Point Last Year I Was Coppin 80's For The Same Price As 1 Bag. And I Personally Like Knowing What Im Ingesting. It All Depends On Where People Live..How Pure..And Their Personal Preference.

Yeah man well it's really rare to find 80's for anywhere near that price.. so when its a deal that good I would buy em too.

But yeah I never could catch a nod off oxy except when I first ever started. Now I could shoot 120mg and not feel shit. Dope is much much much much did I say much? better~!

I remember thinking the same thing..that heron and oxycodone felt so similar (wheN i used to sniff). I would transition back and forth depending until I found a fire dope connect and realized I could get 4 bags for the price of 1 oxy ir 30mg, and those 4 bags were like getting 4 oc 80s lol so it was retarded to stick with oxy. But honestly there was a lot of times I chose oxy over dope just cause i wanted a guaranteed good high cause the dope around was shitty.

Shooting theres no comparison though
