I was on Subutex - not Suboxone for almost 5 years. It's like switching liquor for beer, right? No real help and most doctors don't even know how to properly dose or what it does to you. I was told I'd be a "lifer" after asking to be taken off after one month - at first it was "yes, w/d will be 3 days" but when I complained after my FIRST try, they said it was in my head. I'm not an abuser. 3 foot surgeries, and now arthritis requiring more surgery (joint dead at only 30) - so I jumped off. I was only heading up. And was on it for chronic pain. I did start snorting them b/c I liked it that way and thought w/d would be less. After running out, my OA was found in my foot. I was prescribed VICS and PERCS, bc I think VICS make me moody and hurt my tummy.
Currently on day 8, and last night was my first night w/o sleep. I thought it would get better, b/c it HAS to be outa my system by now. But bad RLS just started...I even rolled from my bed. Haven't cleaned my home or anything wanting to do w/ going outside. Also it's like snowing outside and I can't run on my feet.
The percs work well, and stupidly my new dr wrote me a refill ON THE ORIGINAL hard copy script - and I run out on Thxgiving! YAY! He shoulda known, and when I called the office, he told me basically to change my dosage and to call if I run out. The CVS said he could easily just mail me one, but cannot call it in to CVS.
Well, Morphine is the only thing I KNOW takes the edge off, as I was on it for a prior surgery, but still woke up and no pain relief. So, I'm now on try numero 5, I think. I can see what it's done to me - I start crying all the time, w/d comes in waves, and melatonin ad=nd valerian root DO work very well, but does anyone know when I will feel better? Not to hijack, but to offer my experience to the OP and find answers for me, too.
I am 5'2 and 100 lbs. I heard it stays in fat cells, I don't have many, and during this have lost more.
Any success stories or PM are welcome!
Good Luck to you, too!
