Hello OD'ers,

As you all may have noticed, three OD staff members have stepped down within the past couple of weeks. Because of these events, we are accepting application for OD moderator.


In the application, please tell us why you should be the next OD moderator. Be sure to mention any specific knowledge, education, experiences, interests and how will you contribute to forum.


Send your completed application via Private Message (PM) to Unknown, djsim, or leftwing. We will handle it from there.


OD receive a high amount of traffic. Make sure you can dedicate enough time to moderate this forum.


Please do not post your applications here. This forum is open to questions only. Nominations are pointless, so please don't post them. We consider each applicant by past contributions and staff potential, not nominations.


Application deadlines is set for June 30, 2009.​

good luck to everyone:) i look forward to seeing who applies and what's to offer.

I've now been modding since february, and although it can be extremely taxing on the mind at times, modding OD has been a great experience and continues to be an extremely rewarding job. every day i walk away from BL feeling satisfied that i've potentially helped saved someones life. it almost makes up for the shitty hourly rate around here:\ although i'm looking forward to the end of year party, funded by all your generous donations.

don't be afraid to be a little personal in your applications either, tell us anything you'd like to about yourselves.
 
Dang, I forgot to get personal in my app. What kinds of personal info are you looking for? Hobbies, job, if we go to school, location, drug experience (hands on or theoretical), favorite sexual positions?
 
damn, i wish i'd been hanging out here longer, i LOVE modding forums. ive done it for 3 different forums in the past, and i always enjoy the job.

i suppose i need to post more, but i dont like to throw out the useless bump posts just to get a higher post# under my username. hopefully, somehow you guys'll need a mod when ive been around here longer, and might be applicable.
 
I will be a moderator, this forum is my favorite, plus Phrozen will back me up. If anything else needs to be said, feel free to PM me.
 
cause im a lazy shit and dont want to reply to everyone individually thanks to everybody who has applied so far, we've got some good candidates. keep 'em coming:)
 
Yeah, this is going to be a hard round. We have a few people that we will have to look at closely.
 
is how long you've been a member required? is there a certain time length you have to have been on bluelight? or however many posts you've submitted?
i know i'm "new".. i'm just curious. thanks. :)

It really depends on many factors, such as forum contribution, leadership abilities, activity, and "Join Date" does play a role if the user is new.

If you would like to be a moderator, please send us an application convincing us that you are the best for the job. If you don't get chosen, keep on contributing and following the rules, and someday, your day will come:)
 
We are discussing a deadline, so please send them in if you haven't already, and if you are interested in the position.
