Opioids Opiod withdrawal

Gabapentin for me hits weird. It's a very odd drug for me. I never really got above taking 300mg and then another 300mg a few hours later. Dizzy isn't the right word. But I had this sense of impending "overdoing" it feeling, so I never pushed it. However, I can say it does help. But you're gonna have to push past any trepidation. Hell, there are people on this site who are like "yeah man, take 2 grams, accept no substitutes." Like jesus, that just scares me. The other thing to remember is it can take a really long time to hit. For me, I've had it take like 3 hours to really kick in. And my stomach was empty. There's all sorts of bullshit about acidity and fat and how fast it absorbs. It appears as though it is processed fairly uniquely by the body, and your system can only process so much of it, so taking it all at once is apparently a waste. So "they say" to take a certain amount, and add to it every hour until you're good.

I will say it did allow me to sleep when I was in the weeds bad with withdrawals. It gave me some weird dreams, but they weren't unpleasant. I dreamt about Randy Rhoades and Randy Savage racing in NASCAR on a road course, except they were the same person and I knew this, but also knew I was conflating the names. Helluva dream.

It also can give visuals, which no one prepared me for (I had thought I had read up on it). We're not talkin like trippin balls, but it'll definitely add some sparkles and distortions to your vision, as well as closed eye visuals.

There's my 2 cents. Don't gulp 1.5g at once. Take 300mg, wait an hour, take another 300mg. Etc. Just be patient. I'm no expert, but there ya go.
Hi I have never had this before, I only ever take codeine but am having a hard time getting it

Self medicating never works you will just go back one step forget about gaba mate get something that is actually designed and works for this get substitutes to go a clinic or an addiction centre and get a prescription in as a little as twenty minutes I personally prefer and recommend methadone over suboxone trust me most people find it impossible until they get on a substitute and stop stealing and spending all your money until your ready to quit for good it really is amazing methadone is the light that has appeared for me at the end of a dark tunnel I thought was endless it really is amazing plus you can catch a good buzz off meth as long as your patient and take it responsibly otherwise it's dangerous to try my cousin who I never knew died from a methadone overdose no bulshit
Hi I have never had this before, I have only ever had codeine, I would be too scared to take something else, thank you for commenting

Thanks, i never thought of that. tbh I wish I could just get more codeine today, I feel like my head is going to explode
I'd send you some if I could bro or sell them to you I got two boxes the white and yellow box brand which seems to be stronger then normal ones

I'm definitely not condoning it as it wears the body down and prevents eating and sleeping (which can be essential for opiate withdrawal).. but I've gotten past it with adderall a few times. If your body isn't used to stimulants it would just cause paranoia or induce hardcore anxiety for someone. It does help speed up time onward and alleviate feel the existential dread. Food for thought for anyone that has the ability to do this. And something about stims seems to make the withdrawal go away faster. Like it resets something in the brain to prevent it from prolonging into days 9-12 (the opiate withdrawal itself). But again... not HR and besides it working for myself I don't have any evidence that "stimulants reset the brain and help opiate withdrawal leave the body faster."

You have to get gabapentin from a dr, but it's easy to get. They prescribe it for nerve pain mostly, but you can get it for withdrawal and anxiety issues. I told my dr I was having meth cravings really bad and I suggested gabapentin, said I had read online its beneficial in helping cravings. She gave it to me with no problem.
You can also try kratom to help with the withdrawals. That's what kratom is mainly used for.

Best of luck to you.
Hi, I have only heard of it on here, is this something you get in the UK, i thought this site was american but i'm not sure now, thank you

Hehe, i think you all live in the US, I'm in the UK but that would be bloody great,

Hi its codeine and 30mg tablets thanks

Codeine withdrawal is not as severe as the other withdrawals (like from oxycodone or dilauded) but it is still going to be very uncomfortable. I haven't had much time to read all the replies in the thread.

Basically: if you can get something that helps you sleep (like tylenol PM for some reason knocked me out hard) then you'll heal fully within about 3-4 weeks. Even before then, you might start to feel functional enough to walk around and smile again. You'd have to not take cheat days where you eat codeine again in between the recovery point though. At some point however, self-medicating codeine withdrawal with so many other substances would just cause more harm than good in my opinion. Gabapentin is great but it does have its own withdrawal (many say) if used religiously on a daily basis.

Hehe, I am alright, I think!!! I'm in the north east, are you sick of lockdown yet? I was going to go christmas shopping today but can hardly move so I'm just going to eat biscuits, drink tea and watch crap on TV. Is this mostly a group used by the US as I haven't heard of some of the things people are mentioning? have a nice day.

Got to be careful with gabapentin if you are also on methadone. It increases the blood levels of your methadone. Some Drs will use gabapentin to increase your methadone instead of actually giving you more methadone. However if you are taking gabapentin to make your methadone stronger to get high, if you cut the gabapentin off you could go into withdrawal b/c it would be just like cutting your methadone. I got on it for anxiety, my meth clinic told me I couldn't take klonopin anymore so my psychiatrist put me on the gabapentin. I have no idea still how much to take. A small dose doesn't help with anxiety but I don't want to high of a dose either b/c I am on 95mg of methadone.
