(Opiates) Abstained for 8 days, Dosed, and Now Back in Withdrawals Again, WTF???

I should really just try to give these things up for good, but the cravings are incredibly strong!!!

I mean on Friday night (I knew I was going to dose for the first time in two weeks the next day) I couldn't even freaking sleep hardly because I was so excited about the next day. It's almost like if my girl was overseas in europe for three months and I knew I was going to get the best pussy ever after not jerking off for three months...that's kinda how I felt. It's pretty fucked up actually, but that's how I feel.

Sucks.

I dunno man, but I think it could be a tolerance issue. It also may have something to do with food/supplements, like eating a certain food at a certain time prevents some of the 'done to absorb in your system.

I know itching is something an opiate naive person experiences on high doses. I'm naive (I just went through moderate withdrawals) at this point, as a 30mg Oxy+hydro dose knocked my socks off!!! My pupils were TINY!!! I mean like what I've experienced on H/morphine/opium. I was itching like crazy.

I'm wondering if I take a benedryl/zyrtec/allegra or something that will lower my itchiness during the experience and reduce my allergy-like symptoms for the few days afterwards. Do you think this will help? When I was addicted to morphine for 4.5 years I never had issues with itchiness (except maybe when I decided to really up my dose).

I'm back to work now at a new job, so I'm only going to dose on the weekends now (for now, lol). There's no imbetween point for me now. If I go back into moderate withdrawals 3, 6, 12, or whatever months from now, I'm going to keep up with the doses. I can't go to work sick and feeling like shit, and I won't be able to take a week off to deal with withdrawals.

So will an allergy pill help with me you think?

Yes, an allergy pill should stop the itching as this is caused by a large release of histamine and allergy meds are antihistamines.

Whenever I used to get really itchy, I'd pop a benedryl and it was always very effective at relieving the itchiness caused by opiates.

So will the benadryl not only help with the itching during the opiate experience, but will it also help with the sneezing and itchy nose and watery eyes after the opiate experience?

I was wondering if anyone knew from experience....it would make sense. If less histamine is released during the opiate, then it would make sense that less histamine would subsequenetly be slowly released afterwards.

Does that seem true?

I imagine it would if - let's say - everytime you dose, you also pop a benedryl.

If you are experiencing sneezing, itchy nose and watery eyes a few hours after dosing, you could always try to pop another benedryl.

If you managed to stay clear for 8 days and get past your withdrawals, why in the world would you take the risk of getting hooked again? Why not abstain for as long as possible / for ever? If I knew I didn't have to take my next Subutex dose, God knows I'd do my best not to.

This brings up a good point. Alot of times the mind wont learn from the terrible withdrawal it suffered and will go out and do it again. This proves that point. However I know that after I go through a long ass withdrawal i'm going to learn my lesson, but that's just me.

I can relate being a chipper and binging for 1 week only to have that followed by a week of withdrawals. It's a hit or a miss.

I wouldn't recommend going on subutuex, The reason for me saying this is because your a chipper. You dont need to be maintained on a long acting opiate everyday, because eventually your just going to change your mind. Suboxone is better suited for people that are always on opiates.

In your case if you were to get on suboxone and methadone, It would just drag out this whole process. Then when you finaly want to quit, your going to have withdrawals in the 2 week+ zone. Now maybe you need to suffer like that to get the point through your head, I Dont know.

If you really want to stop, I would suggest changing your surroundings and the people you assosciate with.

People always relapse when they go to the same area that there used to doing drugs at. This is because they associate it with being high.

If you have a place like that, I recommend that you find somewhere else to hang out.

And why don't you get the fuck off your high horse.....you are making it seem after 10+ years of this, I can just put the shit down? Yeah, suboxone and methadone are options, but I'm not ready for that yet. Please...extreme mental cravings that turn into massive panic attacks even overpower my fear of yet another withdrawal. Saying...well just quit is like telling a politician..."well just stop spending too much of our money".

Get real man :-/
