1 morphine
2 oxy
3 hydromorphone
4 methadone
5 codeine
6 buprenorphine
7 codeine....
8 tramadol
9 merepidine
but I would rather have poppy pod extract or opium than any one of the above.
I would say heroin, but that substance has been a pretty negative influence in my life, and the last few times I have done it have been spent sick, vomiting, and reclining, sometimes with a significant headache...too much probably.too much.
if I had access to pure heroin it would probably be on that list though somewhere behind codeine....
then there are the " disputed opioid " herbs
I say disputed because some people dont like that they are not classic opiates, or that they are disputed in specific action, but I say/think if it fits the hand...wear it
1 kratom(mitragyna speciosa)
2 matrine in sophora subprostata
3 salvia divinorum (not for euphoria)
4 picralima nitida for stimulation (kappa/mu)
defining "high" is a problem....some peoples idea of high is nodding their face into the keyboard and reading the same page in a book for 2 or three hours in between nods.....
for other "high" simply means they feel better than normal.
for the daily user "high" may have lost its meaning...more like "high" means I feel normal and somewhat comparable to a functioning person in that I can make it to work and have mental energy for freinds and family
I have noticed that being " high" for me entials a certian degree of novelty...just where than novelty is being expressed depends.....
recently I tried the diterpenoid extract of a rather uncommon "common" spice plant that is purported to have kappa opioid/mu opioid and dopaminergic effects.....I wont say the particular species since the chemist involved still has work to do to produce enough for sales/experiments...
anyway, 5 milligrams vaporized left me in a profound state of stimulation, what felt like a stimulating euphoric high, that seemd possibly due to a very quick acting diterpene dopamine or kappa opioid agonist, most likely I think NOT a mu agonist..
what I wonder is, since I have not returned to this particular extract, is if the experience was true to itself so to say, or if the novelty of the event of discovery was more responsible for the euphoric reaction......returning to the same dosage a few more times will most likely tell me. then it is up to the researcher to see if higher doses reveal any benefit. if not, I would geuss that the euphoria was due to self excitement more than the compounds/compound itself.....
perhaps a reaction in which novelty drives euphoria is part of the resulting tolerance to some of these compounds like opiates and dopaminergics? the more the substance is abused, the less the brain tries to replay the original endorphin pulse that gave the euphoric signature.
beta-endorphin is intimately connected with novelty and memory retrieval.......
I seem to remember beind quite dopesick a few times....and right before the relief of heroin injection, experienced a small amount of relief just knowing that the drug was on its way. the high before the high. maybe that was not just a sense of relief, but actual chemical relief getting juicy in my brain at the thought of that shot....................
