Any advice? Period. Getting a heath care provider to write them took some work, but when you have a chronic back issues you can work magic. It was sorta funny, got the script and i'll be damned if it didn't take me like 9 different pharmacies before i got my grubby hands on them. Seems to be fun though. A bit nicer than Dilaudid for me, I was just wondering if anyone else had any experience with them. The real draw back is the fact that there is no bloody generic brand so 60, 10mg tabs where un-godly expensive.:)
 
In my opinion (and everyone else I've asked who is actually qualified to answer), the WDs from this drug are the worst of ANY opioid. NOw, I've not withdrawn from high dose, long term fentanyl, but a cellmate in jail told me that Opana WDs were worse even than fentanyl for him, and that was at 200mg/day ORALLY.

I withdrew from 160mg/day RECTALLY, and literally thought I was going to die.

To give it some scale, it made withdrawals from 400mg oxycodone/day seem easy.

Best opioid high I ever had, but the WDs were so intense that I actually got clean after going through that set! I just never went back to anything. It just hurt too damn bad.
 
i snorted a 5mg tab and It had me nodding WHEN I WAS ON MMT (150mgs too this was no 30mg dose here) One of the ONLY opiates that did that too me on MMT, I used to take LOTS OF Roxicodones but all they would do is take pain away, They wouldnt get me high, I think they buzzed me a couple times but on 150mgs of Methadone its kinda unpleasant because than I start nodding from 2 things.......................
 
all i can say is.. BE CAREFUL thats some powerful shitt you got there and you dont want to over do it..

eat a nice fatty meal before you embark on the nodding adventure that is Opana
 
i must have a tolerance from hell cuz 10mg is okay but nothing special unless IVed.
 
How do you prepare them(I'm assuming IR's) for iv use?

Just asking out of curiosity, and because people have asked that multiple times on here. I have no interest in ever iv'ing a pill.

you are like me... while I have not been on oxymorphone... I'm sure you could equal some of the doses od dilauded I've taken to it... and I'm fucked...

Nothing works!! It's ba db bad... or is it just that bone pain is like a tooth ache...

anyway the dilaudeds work on most of my other pain but no highs here... I take 8mg 4 time regularally but you know sometimes its like 12 in the morning then 8 then 4 then 4 or something... I change it due to pain... someimte I only tke 3 times a day so I can take those higher doses..

Hydromorphone's oral BA is about the same as morphine's oral BA, ~30%.

Yet I don't know why people don't rag on oral morphine users(especially PPT), but they won't miss an opportunity to shit on an oral hyrdomorphone user. :\

Just an observation. Personally I don't like taking any recreational substance orally.
 
Maybe I didnt give it a chance, Im prescribed massive amounts of OC monthly (I have had 3 back surgeries that have left me in nearly constant pain) however I have been a "druggie" since I was 16 so I enjoy my medicine. I was given the option to try Opana however orally it did next to nothing for me, after2 months of it I went bak to OC. I assume oral isnt the best route of administration however I have never shot up pills. Does snorting them really do the trick? I eat 180MG of OC at once to feel "good"; I know it would be purely speculative but how much opana snorted would be comparable? Again I know its very subjective however this post has me wondering.............Thanks/Peace
 
Ya I decided after a bit of research that I'm only going to IM Opana at a very low dose or eat'em. After hearing a couple of WD horror stories I don't want to over do it. It also seems that this is one of the easiest opiates to OD on. Thanks for the info folks keep it coming, while i nod off real fast. This is probably one of my new favz. DRYSEEKER just out of curiosity what kinda back surgery's have you had. I have Scheurmanns kyphosis of the upper back and I'm about to go through a wedging and fusion procedure. Hmm maybe i'll get so lollypops sense my tolerance is getting up there.
 
shooting pills in the muscle is the worst thing to do i hear. even worse than shooting it in the vein. opanas aight, nothing to go crazy over.
u can inject the ER opanas, all u have to do is use ethanol, let it sit for 15 minutes. that will disinigrate the pill almost. then dont use heat, suck it up with a cotton. the ethanol burns for about 4 seconds but after that u get a decent rush. nothing like ud except tho. heroin rushes are far superior

^^ Says the man who never snorted Opana after eating a full meal. ;)
 
I was a hydro user. Mildly addicted but generally under control (for legit pain and the 'up' side effects). I then get some opana and snorted about 20mg per day for about 2 weeks. I now am on suboxone. The opana did this to me:

1. got me into a great 'up' and productive opiate state. I thought it was pretty good. I like snorting roxis at first, they seemed cleaner. But opana was stronger than 60mg roxi at a dose of 10mg (comparison is based on snorting). And I eventually knew this was one kickass opiate to snort.

2. Almost made my hydro's useless after 10 days. Bad news because they were my all round med. 40mg hydro barely got me out of w/d. That sucks.

3. Sent me into morning w/ds, the likes of which I had never experienced. My happy opiate days had ended.

4. Got me really thinking about opiates in general, and the hell that was rising.

5. Made me get on suboxone cause I could not take the w/ds. I have not taken any opiates other than the sub since.

6. Confirmed the nightmare 'tales' of opana addiction and w/d.

6. Worried now that suboxone w/ds are going to be bad.

Sound like fun. Right. Be smart and listen to my post.

Bottom Line: Don't start with opana. If you must, use no more than two days in a row and than hold off for at least a week. I found a perfect way to sniff them, wish I had not. I was almost ready to get rid of them at first, but after two days of testing, hot hooked. OPANA......you might not WANNA. Also if you use for legit pain, only use orally to avoid heavy morning w/d. It won't take long so stay at small doses if you want legit time release pain.
 
Opana will probably single handedly destroy your tolerance to anything in the painkiller branch other then lollipops. If you get started then theres no going back to regular OC's or hydros with the same effects.

That being said, Opana after a meal is amazing.

Never had to deal with w/d since I wasn't scripted, got a few from a friend.
 
im scripted oc and really glad i stumbled onto this post because i was also thinking aoout asking for opana.after looking at other posts i thought it would be kickass to have such a strong opiate. this is the first ive heard of the WD. i think if i ever did it it it would one of those random getting a couple type situations. btw...people say it is the best opiate theyve ever had...how is it compared to heroin/oxy/ect? is it more energetic/sedating/body high/head high/ "body warmth"?

What is it about opana. Such a fucking riddle to me. I have slammed opana er, sniffed it, plugged it 50mg+ and never got the results everyone else claims. 5mg sniffin busting through a 150mg methadone tolerence? Damn.

It always seems to be the IR pills that people get fucked up on. The ers never fuck anyone up. Phreex said he would snort 160mg of opana for a buzz. His tolerence was around 400mg of oxycodone at the time.
 
I don't know man. I've read about people with heavy opiate experience slamming 10mg's of oxymorphone and getting the shit scared out of them due to the unexpected intensity.
