Only man is fit to be God.

God created man in his own image. But the refiner needs to keep the gold in the fire burning away the dross until he can see his own reflection from it. Hence the trials and tribulations of life. Stay on the path, mormon or not, and the dross will burn but the gold won't evaporate from too much heat. Or don't, it's up to you.

All true except for your first.

Man created all the Gods. That is why they are so imperfect. It was there best guess.

Does God, no we can take the point even further, does life suggest perfection? Is their beauty in life? Is their beauty in imperfection? Seems to me the first thing you have to accept is to be perfect you have to be perfectly imperfect. Alan Watts has a bunch of quotes similar to that which I can't remember well enough. Suffice to say just type Tao and watch any of the videos.

I actually see us as evolving perfection but it is hard to explain unless you see a glimpse of what I mean in this. You hasve to think of the anthropic principle to understand the logic.

I like to use the term evolving perfection for nature.Otherwise, a perfect God or nature becomes a stagnant pool of information andour souls and consciousness as a part of that perfection would be useless tothe universe.

Evolving, the perfection of whatever God and nature was, towhatever God and nature will be, means we have to think this way, unless you seeGod as somehow losing his initial perfection. This is not allowed in a perfectGod’s or natures repertoire.

When this was written, most thought it to just be a cynicalview of life but I think it is quite true and irrefutable, based on theanthropic principle and pure logic.

What do you think?

Candide.
"It is demonstrable that things cannot be otherwisethan as they are; for as all things have been created for some end, they mustnecessarily be created for the best end.”

This is done by nature and not a God but would be arequirement of a God if he were real.

We've come full circle again. You're Christian only you think yourself a tyrant. God's Will be done I guess.

Filled With The Holy Spirit!

It sounds to me that when you hear the word "God" and when I hear the word "God" we are thinking two different things. It sounds to me that your looking for answers. Just hear what I have to say. You post that only man is fit to be God. First of all there are three classes. God, angels, and humans. God created the angels and he created humans. He gave them different purposes. We are actually put in higher regards than angels. think of this, does an angel bleed? Does an angel die? We bleed, we die. Christ died. We too will die. Not in the same way. But eventually we will die. This creates a higher "sensitivity" in us. which makes us more important. I'll share this with you something that has done a lot of good in my life and has helped clarify things: God created Satan, but Satan wanted to be God. So basically long story short. He was cast down to earth by God and Satan convinced a bunch of Angels to join him. Basically Satan's ultimate goal is to take God off his thrown and be God. The problem with that is that God can't be taken off his thrown, because he is Good and the devil has ill-intentions, so basically this is why I think "the devil" is stupid. If you want to BE God. But you can never BE God. What does that make you and all the things you do? STUPID. Thats why the devil is stupid. So anytime someone tells you something that the devil did is cool or "wicked" think about old Satan to this day, "still trying to be God". To this day. To this very minute. Look at the media for example. They are all trying to convince you that "Sin" is smart, sin is hip. Jesus was like the xbox 360 of his time. If someone said hey Jesus is over at my house. Typical reaction would be hey Cool! Can I come over? Now flash back 2000 years to 2014 and somebody says hey I've got the new PS4! And you go hey cool! can i come over? And what is a PS4? just a bunch of silicon chips and a optical drive. It wasn't fashioned by God. It was made in a factory by man. What im trying to say is that nobody is garanteed to live tomorrow. We could all go at any moment. Ever play that game musical chairs? The music stops and everybody tries to find a seat. Whoever doesn't find a seat gets eliminated? Well if your living your life and finding inspiration from anything other than God. And you die. You might end up in hell with, Mr. Satan, and be tormented forever. Even I as a christian have to worry about going to hell. Heaven is a gift. I could go on and on. But I'll say this, if you are wondering about God you should find someone who goes to church, be it a friend or a relative, and go to church with them one Sunday. And keep going to church. And make some friends there. Elevate your life. Remember this life can be a gift or a curse. People who are filled with the Holy Spirit are happy all the time. Because we could go at any minute.

South Park is dumb ... Mormonism is basically the "eternal plan for happiness" ... if you want to be happy and be a God one day, than join the one true church

Jesus does not agree with you my friend. Have a look.

No religion has a monopoly on God. All souls are his. Idol worshipers are people that God has always frowned on. Stop it to please God. Jesus said seek and you shall find. You are not seeking and settling for less than you should. Alien Gods are garbage Gods.

...and ...I would not advise you to do whatever you want.

You had to throw that good old standby of trying to create guilt and fear. You have leaned well from your church on how to lie to bring in money.

A moral man might wonder at the methods you used here and see the immorality of it but that truth is beyond those of your ilk.

You have had to develop a double moral standard to be able to suffer your genocidal son murdering God.

i am god and you are god and we are all blasphemous, self-absorbed creatures!

in reality, whether there is a god or not, speculation will not tell; is it human novelty that created the idea of a god
or is the idea of a god that created human novelty?

god i hate causal loops

Man created God in his own image not the other way around. Ever notice how religions such as Catholicism depict Jesus as being white despite all evidence pointing to the fact that he most likely would have been a few shades more brown? This is because the rulers of the church are white. On the otherhand many black people depict Jesus, God, Allah, Thor (well okay maybe not Thor) as being black. God is simply a product of human imagination and this is because we as humans have traditionally had a need for a sort of father figure who will punish us and keep us in line if we are bad and reward us for doing good. Hence why so many of our backwards laws are based upon religious morality and contain the inherent biases within.

When Nietzsche spoke of the death of God he didn't mean it in literal terms as in god actually being alive in the first place but rather that religious morality had outlived it's usefulness and that we must therefor find something else to base our values upon.

I just read a quote of Nietzsche saying that "popular interpretation is just power and not truth". If there is no truth then where do we base our values on? Surely a wide interpretation of life. Which may be the only power God has.

The only one dead here is Nietzsche.

No argument. That is why Gnostic Christians are perpetual seekers of God. Even if one forces their apotheosis, the God found must be set aside, the bar of excellence raised and a new ideal is to be sought.

That is how all ideals should be treated. If not, it becomes idol worship.
