Ok, so I called and scheduled an appointment today for this pain I have in my thumb, like when I bend it. This continues up my arm, sometimes just above my elbow where it kinda feels numb. Here is my question; What should I say if they just want me to ice it and use ibuprofin (that's what they suggested over the phone)? I tried ibuprofin with no relief at all. Actually I took two tylenol 3's the other night and had a drink or two and still had the pain. I can't really say this though as they were not my t3's. If I tell them that ibuprofin didn't work, do you think it will be likely that I will get something stronger. This for the most part is a legitimate claim on my part, as I am hoping to get somethin to relieve the pain (however, it would be nice to have something left over
). Cuz when my roommate went to the health clinic here for a toothache they gave him anaproxen (sp?) and some valium to help him sleep through the pain...(the oxys i had last night really helped - not the reason i took it though, actually i even forgot about the thumb after a while, but i doubt i am going to be able to stroll in there and get oxy, haha)...
