BraZil have got decent strikers in Nemah and Hulk, but the team as a whole haven't really been as impressive and spirited as you'd expect them to be on their own soil.

Mexico deserved to beat Holland, that was an incredibly sad ending.

Belgium have got a bit lucky in their draw of teams to make it through and I can't see them getting any further, costa rica however have played exceptionally well for such an underrated team. If they can beat Italy and halt England, they stand half a chance against the Dutch.

I sincerely hope that van gaal will switch back to the good old 4-3-3 for the game against costa rica. 5-3-2 only works when the other team is trying to dominate, as spain did.
I actually do think that Belgium stands a chance against Argentina, wasn't impressed with their game against Switzerland.
 
I've got to say I was extremely impressed by the USA's play in that game, they were hard to break down and managed to create chances even though they were soaking up pressure from the Belgian's. Great heart to fight until the end as well.
 
On watching it a few more times I've got to say it is actually very good. Only a few other players in the world who have that skill to play the sidefoot topspin dip over the wall....ronaldo, bale, baines, messi...only few who have actually shown the ability to play that free kick and convert it.
 
fuck me... glad I put £3 on the dutch at 33/1 at start of the tournament.

Don't know how the costa rican's held on, surpised the goal posts still standing the amount of times their woodwork was hit.... great penalties also


C'mon you Holland...!
 
The last 4 goals were in 6 minutes.

Brazil was just shell-shocked from the first goal & Germany have taken full advantage.
 
No-one could have foreseen this happening. Brazil got no choice now but to go and score goals which will leave them open for the Germans to try and exploit again.
 
I'm not a football fan but occasionally find it pretty watchable.

Would love the Netherlands to win but suspect my chances of watching the final on Sunday are somewhat slim.
