OiOi! It's the world cup thread!

Stoopid Foreigners! :!

Didn't you yourself mention that you do not speak Welsh? The fact that you spoke to them in english may have given them the idea no?

I went to Paris in 1999 n loved it the only issue was they kept thinking we were English, wasn't impressed.
No disrespect to you Foreigners but why do you always think there's only England... We Welsh are our own people.

It's not the foreigners fault. I wouldn't be able to go to France and recognise the French by their county so I'm not sure we can expect them to identify various English counties like Yorkshire, Cornwall or Wales.

Decent first half showing from the US. Shame about conceding the sloppy goal but definitely not out of it. A draw may be enough to qualify so could be an interesting 2nd half.

I watched the whole of USA's previous game, and they were terrible. I can't believe Portugal nearly lost to USA, and only got a draw from a flukey 95th minute goal.

belgium dominated the u.s. for a straight hour. it was a frantic, sloppy affair for the u.s. team.

but hey, to get beat in the round of 16, you have to make it to the round of 16. it's an odd day on sport when england don't make it and the u.s. do :)

Currently my brain and heart are leaning towards Colombia. They are in form and have a somewhat home ground advantage. Brasil look too fragile, both in strike power and emotionally. The French German game will be interesting. The French are playing well while the Germans are hanging in.

The other side of the draw looks less impressive. The dutch have been both brilliant and sloppy where as Argentina have needed rescuing by Messi in almost every match. Belgium and Costa Rica have played out their tournaments I'm afraid.
