Alright, grass smokers, you all know you've been in the same situation: You have that super dank/schwag bongload/blunt completely ready to go. Everyone else is passed out and you just can't wait to take this straight to yr face.

All of a sudden FUCK! You remembered you lost your lighter the night before. What do you do to somehow get that bowl roasting, you know if for some reason you cant go to the gas station or something and get some matches?!


I just had to go through this, and it took a while to figure out a way because the only person who was downstairs wouldnt wake up for SHIT! I rolled a cigarette out of refrys and lit it up on the electric stove, and then pushed that into the bowl to get it going good. fuckin looks like it woulda been a better idea to just roll up a jayskee but whatever.

so does anyone have any better techinques of making fire for those times that you just need to smoke and no one else is around, and you dont have access to matches or that lighter technology shit?
 
i aimlessly look for the lighter for a long period of time until i realize that it is in my hand.
 
Hahaha, I remember on Halloween two years ago, everyone was really fucked up and no one could find a lighter so we went and got a plate and lit it using the fire we had going so we could spark up a bowl.

I felt so primitive :P

When I was young and careless I would take uncooked spaghetti, set one end on fire using my stove, then use the burning pasta to spark my bowl.

It stunk, but worked like a charm.
 
This is actually happening to me right now, I have to remember to ask a friend for a lighter next time, but I have a few options. What I used to do is wet a candle wick and put sugar on it and then hold it on an electric stove until it ignites and then I have this lighter that for some reason doesn't light unless you hold it next to a flame. Lately I found a bunch of matches but the strips to light them are all worn off so I just put the lighter on an electric stove to light the candle instead. Its a real hassle.
 
This has happened to me a couple times, probably happened to everyone hah. I just lit a couple candles on the stove, then used one of those to get the bowl going.

Now I always keep a stash of at least 5+ lighters, should see my empty pile!
 
Haha I tried to light my bong off the top of my stove once. After about 5 minutes of trying in vain I just said fuck it and went to buy a lighter. :D
 
not having a flame sucks happen to me many of times sometime u jus gottta involve someelse
 
i was trying to knock ash out of my pipe yesterday when i cracked the lighter and ass the gas wooshed out. scared the shit out of me but meant i had no lighter to smoke a bowl on my way home.

better to crack the lighter than my bowl though.
 
I remember It was a sunny day and I didn't have a lighter so I did some solar toking outside. Got a magnify glass and did some tokes from my piece....it works quite well actually. (plus you taste the herb and can get a lot of hits off of one bowl)
 
Well, if you you can find a D-battery and some steel wool, you can touch both poles of the battery to the steel wool and the wool will glow hot. (there's videos of it on youtube) I've never tried doing this to smoke, but in theory, it could work. If I had to resort to that, I would touch the hot wool to a stick/sliver of wood to make it catch fire.
 
I have used the stove several times, once when the piece we were using was too cumbersome to do so, we put a knife over the stove till it was red hot and used this to light it. I have also lit shit like paper or whatever on fire to use.
 
Yell "FREE WEED HERE" in irc and wait 5 minutes.

Or roll a joint and light it using the toaster
