First off, Mike and his crew, did a fabulous job as always. Nightbreed has a dream. The Elite dj's (like the dj's who played at the Lima parties?!?!) sat down and wanted to create something new and now we have your attention. Hey I could go on and on about the stupid things that happened last night, but I know Mike, Justin, the crew of NightBreed, and the crew of SuperAmerica, Security (griff and jeremiah, wat up!) worked hard for the love of the music and the fans. This party should be an example. This is the party that should teach Columbus and the rest of Ohio that we need to do something, or else the partying wont be fun anymore. Promoters and small production companies should work hand in hand. The basics of business should tell you, that you need competition to stay alive. B/c whose to say that you are the best, when you have nothing to compare it to. Hey I am probably just stating the obvious, but some ppl and kids just dont listen. Its an "all for one" game here. All of us have one goal: Happiness. - And I wish the dollar stopped there.

In regards to my set, well, I phuckin jammed out. I was in the 4th room. (or the sauna room) Thanks to everyone giving support, I appreciate the love. I do admit: I screwed-up bad! Only one record; one mix. Even the BEST have to make mistakes, to learn from. (Just let me dream, ok?) Anyways, if you do like what you hear from myself, Cyberspeed, and the great Stimulii, then make your way down to Club One in Louisville for some of the best techno, house, trance, and break beats around. Once again, Mike and Justin, thank you for the spot and the chance to play. (Get a hold of me for Lousiville ideas,--> Mike)
To everyone - lets just remember why we love parties like Virgo, Scorpio, For the Ladies, and Evolve; WE SHOULD LOVE IT FOR THE MUSIC.

ya i was at EVOLVE in columbus. if you were there i probably said hi or how you feeling to you. cause yea i am friendly but ah i was the kid with the yellow sleeveless shirt with a green shirt under it i also have a mohawk of the blonde variety ,but my sides are black. kinda stalky guy but ya send me a messege if u know who this is:) :|

first off, i wanna appologize to nitebreed for my absence as "fill in dj" (and to just support for that matter)
i was stuck in dublin without much prospect as far as ride, and i wasnt really feeling well, so i did not force the issue of hooking up transpo to the event. this also goes to ferfer and whomever else was responsible for the afterhours...you have my sincerest appologies for missing my slot at the afterparty. its not like me to not show for a gig, regardless of the gig...so i hope it doesnt leave THAT bad of an impression of my business ethics. lol.

i also appologize to my SAE (BUCK!) patnahs & affiliates for not being there to hear yalls sets and hang with my peoples.

last and CERTAINLY least....dvine, sir...you make it impossible to hold my tongue on this site, as much as i try to keep a professional persona here, and not get sucked into bs...but you make it impossible...

personal attack removed

Sorry to have missed the party and afterhours, but my roommate was in a bad car accident last nite, and i was not able to attend. Hope things went well at both!

Fien't out!

ha i made it out an had a blast. lets see where to start, i was the guy in the louisville shirt an walkin around with a camera all night, rather hot but it was aight, props to sinister an some of the phat tracks he threw down, sage is sexy as hellllllllllllllllll, god i wish she was my wife! the thing that made me the most mad was not being able to drink =( but i guess thats alright. but yea like everyone else im gonna complain about the heat i was sweatin the whole time but theres nothin like seein sweaty junglist chicks dancin everywhere it made my night. =) i heard some alright house music in the first room nice tunes, the drum n bass should have been in area 2 all night i think. i gotta run but ill be back later to continue my post.- wildstyle

This party was the first one I have been to in over a year and probably the last one I will attend. I had a good time but still a reminder of why I don't go to them anymore. Everybody was bitching about security sucking, (even with vip you still got fucked with) how hot it was, music was nothing to jump up and down over and if that place had a vibe, I sure didn't see it. The whole $2 parking thing needs to go and people that staff this event need to keep in mind that it would help to be a little more friendly to the crowd. If you don't like ravers, don't surround your self by them.

Overall this party was okay. I was shocked to see so many people I use to party with years ago. Everywhere I looked stood a familer face from the past. Everybody seemed to have a good time but alot of bitching about security. I think that comes out with every event some point in time. Never the less, Nightbread did a good job with this show and I am sure it was a success so keep on........

Um ya?

great party guys. special thanks to jarrod, fuzzy, and "vash". ;)

you guys pretty much made my damn night. sinister tore it up... sweet guy.

anyways...kick ass guys. good luck... and say hi to your indy girls. :)

well

Wearing black pants with 2 stripes on each pants and a tan brown dress shirt, i walked in drunk off my ass w/ DJ scotti and 2 other friends. It was hot sure but damn after a while it became so fucking hot that it was impossible to just keep dancing. had to just take breaks or die from overheating and no i wasn't rolling.

First 2 hours were good...until the drunkness wore off then it was like 'meh so what?" Basicly while the sound / lights / djs were decent at the very least none had anything that just basicly made everyone go "DAMN hell YEAH" Don't get me wrong, Sinister just layed it out and probably was the best of the night imo.

Big problem: heat. The complete opposite from tristate love where it was right down freezing (Tristate love was in the warehouse next door). Everyone said it i know...

As to both of my other 2 friends who were rolling their asses off, they said it was the best night they had in a long time. As for me i'll stick w/ PoTD 2 weeks ago at redzone Thanks...

Nonetheless, it was a good show. nice job overall and yes props to nightbreed because after all, if they didn't do it, there would be no party period.

im from louisville and I definitely thought this party was worth the drive--i had a great time! I didnt really have any problems with security and I thought there was a really good vibe. I met a lot of really cool people. Music was great too! props to nightbreed I will definitely try to be at more of their parties!

hell yeahz!

as far as im concerned i had a great time and met some cool new peeps, afterparty was interesting but i got what i needed for the drive back to indiana so thats all good as well.
i didnt think security was too bad, i got away with everything i needed to get away with, mabye the people who got hassled were just too obvious.
peace to everyone who met me...

I rather enjoyed myself. Whent to watch my Bro (Syon) play ad ended up playing because the next dj didn't show up, Thanks. I liked the Idea about haveing the dj booth inthe second room elevated but there should have been some lights up there or something, we couldn't seee who was there. Oh well i had fun even though it was hot as hell.

Just Asking said:
Doing my best not to be a hater and I may be prejudice by the fact that I am not the biggest fan of Booty House, but can someone time me exactly why promoters fly DJ Funk to shows and pay him to merely play CD’s? I watched him “spin” and with the exception of a scratch here and there, he didn’t mix one track. Is that what “DJing” has turned into? I am no DJ, and I respect DJs who spin only CDs, but at least show you have the capability to mix/beat match two songs [live]. If you want to pay some money to have someone select good mix CDs and just play them in front of a 1000 people, I’m free any time.
+

Um...what kind of proof do you have that he wasn't mixing? I was standing very close to the front of the tables as he was going on & stayed up there for about a half hour & watched him & he had vinyl in his hands.
Oh & PS...I feel extremely let down by Funk's mix cd he was handing out. HORRIBLE...IMO.
ANYWAY...Yes I too am contributing to the complaints of heat---I have yet to see any kind of response from Nightbreed yet unless I overlooked it a few pages back. Were the air conditioners broke?? There at least could have been some fans on or SOMETHING! You can't have a party with 1000 dancing party kids & not have some kind of relief~that easily could have been a liability. It was absolutely miserable in every room. All drama aside-I KNOW for a *fact* that Nightbreed would NOT have overlooked something like this on purpose...something had to have happened that was beyond their control...but what happened?
I have to admit though the space was *tight*. Much better than the space next door.

First of all Nightbreed,

When will you learn. Once again you have showed complete lack of empathy for your patrons and your djs. Slowly but surely, you are pissing off everyone in this town.

First off, the heat factor. Knowing it was a hot weekend, and knowing you would have kids "using", you made no attempt at bringing in fans, or any other way of cooling off those kids besides 1 "stand" in the entire venue for water, etc. Right there, is a liability. You could have been sued.

Second off.. Lack of empathy for the djs. You time and time again refuse to pay your local djs, and out of town djs. You all seem to feel that the ONLY people to pay are your headliners. Well, i hate to break it to you, but you're pissing off more and more locals every party you throw. To not pay a dj coming from Toledo/Cincy, etc is rude, and exceptionally UNPROFESSIONAL! Does it not cost gas, time, records, etc for these djs to play at your parties????? You need to learn to actually BUDGET before you throw another party. DJs should be paid REGARDLESS if you lost your ass, or not. A local dj from Columbus, if they agree to play for free is 1 thing, but when you PROMISE djs from out of town at the least..... Gas money, and stiff em, and run off and can't be found the rest of the night. hmm. Shady shit Nightbreed.

Third off.. Back to the heat issue. Nightbreed, are you aware that because of the exceptional heat, how many djs records warped???????????
You should be reimbursing those djs on their vinyl because it was due to your LACK OF PREPERATIONS that this was an issue. To not have fans even in the BOOTH area?!?!?!?!???

Fourth off.. You should consider throwing only headliner events, or learn to pay your djs. You asked a lot of people to play, and you completely stiffed them. I think everyone should know this upfront and in the open. Shady Shady SHADY shit. Pretty soon, no one is going to want to play for you. You have now successfully dug yourself 3 feet into your promotions grave thanks to this party.
