sometimes I feel like a nut, sometimes I don't. it looks like there isn't anyone who is willing to aid "ravergirley" in her quest to affect more bits of data than geek. will no one help...
this is my first post, and for a long time I have maintained the position that I don't want to be involved in the drama that bluelight generates, but I've changed my mind.
ravergirley, you are never going to be able to convince geek of anything, especially because you offer information to substantiate your claims. But that is the thing about forums, there are no faces, and like many people involved in the scene know you can say just about anything you want to on the internet. The degree to which it pisses someone off is a different variable.
you have been out of high school for 6 years, and you are a graduate of UC. I would think those attributes would indicate a more mature, less consumed person.
Why do you let Geek, the bad vibe at the party, get to you?
If I didn't know any better, it would seem like someone shoved him into you while you were twirling glow sticks tied to the ends of strings, or better yet, you were in the middle of a cuddle puddle with some boy you really liked, and when geek was shoved into the middle of it all it broke the trance you found yourself in gazing into that boys eyes, and the moment was gone, forever, and now every time you see that boy from the cuddle puddle you think not of him, but of geek, the reason that the moment ended, the pin that burst the bubble.
Truthfully, I don't think that at all, I have no idea who you are, but it seems to me that you have a lot of pent up aggression. personally, I make sculptures, and music. those are my "anti-drugs" or hobbies.
perhaps an online forum that generates drama isn't the best avenue for you to develop a hobby. I see that you are into tennis and stuff... perhaps this stuff entails more than arguing with symbols (usernames) arranged so they almost form words (I am not referring to your use of the English language, only the user name of the person you are arguing with).
however...
if you come to a forum to bitch at people then you need to revisit some of those ethics classes that you took (if you didn't take any in college, that's fine just disregard this next segment)
The categorical imperative:
-
1st formulation: “act only on that maxim whereby thou canst at the same time will that it should became a universal law”
-
Alternatively: “act as if the maxim of thy action were to become by thy will a universal law of nature.”
The principle of “utility” – “by the principle of utility is meant that principle which approves of disapproves of every action whatsoever, according to the tendency which it appears to have to augment or diminish the happiness of the party whose interest is in question.”
-- most people seem to ignore geek, and the rest of us are his friends. so we simply accept his actions as the actions of geek.
don't take my post as an invitation to argue with me about one of my friends, his actions or statements in no way reflect the views held by this user, however I strongly urge you to ignore geek, he will always get the last word in, he is the definition of apathy.
The reason I look down on drug use is because I don't like seeing my friends revert to the slimy funk nasty film coated zombies they become when on drugs, oh, and the fact that parties in indiana didn't happen because a bunch of selfish donkies asses decided to ruin it for the rest of us, by bringing their drugged asses to the party and re-establishing the black market. keep in mind that these are not raves...
My friends go out and bust their asses so they can throw events, for their friends, the music, and to maintain a scene.
Not so some child, who doesn't really know any better can escape their home life and forget by taking drugs.
besides, drugs are a commonly accepted aspect of pretty much every culture, and sub-sulture, sans a few. What is so wrong with ridiculing people who posess the potential to ruin everything that "we" (as in those of us who actively promote education, knowledge, and of course parties) have worked for?
Oh yeah, party sounds like it will be a blast, I enjoyed the one I went to previously, and I hope to see you all there,
all of you...
