this is too funny.

a.) raves are dead. they have been dead since promoters started to use legal venues instead of hijacking warehouses for fun. the events that most of us attend are parties.

b.) i would never call myself a "raver". that word has such a filthy connotation of drugged up lil kids that i would never want it associated with me, all of my accomplishments, or my future as an attorney.

c.) i am 22 yrs old and have been involved in THROWING parties since i was 16 when i threw my first. so how the fuck am i POSER if i am more involved in parties than most of you kids who call yourselve's "ravers"?

d.) which leads to my next point, once you sober up and realize that drugged out lil bastards ruined the party scene in 2000 by overdosing and bringing unnecessary media attention upon the scene, then you will begin to despise candy kids as much as i do.

e.) plur and loving everyone is an ill conceived notion that kids come up with when they couldn't justify why someone should like them. i dont need to like you bc you exist. give me a legitimate reason to respect you, and maybe we will go from there. if you feel like you are worth my respect, go out and fucking prove it. do something. throw an event. make some sort of real contribution to the scene or society other than being intoxicated.

f.) call me a dick, call me an asshole, call me whatever you want, but here is the truth: i am in law school preparing to be an influential and rich member of society. also, i have thrown multiple events out of my love and appreciation for drum n bass, but it is drugged out kids that put my future in jeopardy bc if you get caught at my party all sorts of fucked up, then under the law, i am liable. when you become liable for the actions of idiots, you often begin to take a whole new perspective on the situation

...and just to notify you, i fully plan on being at monster mash. dancing my ass off with my crew.

ask any promoter in the publics eye if they throw raves
and they will disagree w/ you and say its just a party.
rave has been related to all the bad things that happen in
our scene. To stick up for drugs( not that I have anything
against them) is not the image you want to portray for
yourself.drugs in my eyes keep a seperation from the
true appreciation of the love for the music. being fucked up is one thing, but being gored out of your mind that you dont even know what the dj's are spinning is another.
from the past events that I help throw in indy(which shut down at 3am), we preached dont be so fucked out of your
mind you dont get any education out of the music. we not saying dont get fucked up, but know your limit. and peeps
would complain about it ending at 3am. we saw it as a
way that you can go to afterpartys and get fucked out
of your mind and not worry about funkin up the party for
everyone who comes for the music.
just a way to make everyone happy.

OK enough "save the kandi kids" and "destroy the kandi kids". Kandi kids don't need defending, they've always beena staple at parties and always will be, just let it go. And the "I'm more old skool than you are" games going back and forth are dumbfoundingly annoying........... It's so damn shallow in here, our feet are barely wet.

As for drugs at parties, I can't stand to see somebody so blitzed out of their gourd that they can't remember their name, they can't remember how to walk, can't figure out how to swallow. Which way is up? who knows. That kind of shit gives me a bad feeling when I see it. I like to have a good time, but getting completely ripped beyond all repair at a party is pointless and a burden to other people.

- it's always been apart of the "sub-culture", it's different things 4 different people, 4 sum just fun, sum a competitive sport, and sum a way of life(a religion of sorts)
- as far as drugs r concerned
-they've always been on this planet, and will probably always b, they've been used and abused...oh well, sum use them 4 t. right reasons, & sum 4 t. wrong.

DRUGS USED IN THE RIGHT CONTEXT CAN PROVIDE TRUELY ENLIGHTING EXPERENCES, AND IF USED IN A CARELESS MANNER CAN LEAD 2 A # OF PROBLEMS....

I don't mind seeing fucked up people at party's. because its there life
not mine. If they want to be so fucked up they can't walk thats their choice. Yes, the drugs need to slow down a little but that's why we live in america...FREEDOM....RIGHT TO YOUR OWN OPINION.... I see it as I live life one time..if I want to smoke a joint before I walk into a party, I will.
My life My choices. Do I smoke crack, no.... but my point is that, thats why america is great, so many differant types of people and differant cultures.
You can't stick pot heads under the same tile as crack heads. It's like saying football is the same as baseball, because they both use balls!
makes no sence. I love everybody when I walk into a party, but that doesn't mean that I do X. I would probley even love geek if I was at a party, it's all about the love and the music. Not the drugs.

Ok silly girl, If you could read, you would see that I was trying to say that people who start going to parties must have an interest in drugs, just because the way 'raves' are portrayed in the media, I said someone NEW to the scene, not the new scene is drugs. READ Baiotch! You can say what you want; again, I can say what I want. I hate seeing kids fucked out of their minds, usually I try to find a sober person (like myself) to help with the situation. For example. At the caveman experience, there were many- MANY mostly everyone- people on drugs, I saw someone having seizures, so I asked security to take this person to the top and possibly to a hospital. If someone od's. then the party gets shut down. The 'security' was just as fucked as the many people seemingly having seizures. They did nothing!! Im not denying that people use drugs or that I have in the past, or that yes, drugs can be fun in the right environment, but who wants (maybe you and all of the candy kids in the world) to spend 20 bucks to get into a venue to listen to music that they are just going to forget about the following day. I thought it was about the music??? How can you recall the dj track list if you’re a drugged out candy kid?

Raves are to have fun with COOL people- Cool people, like YOU?? Hm. That’s funny, I thought I was the coolest ever! wait I am. I love love love music, I support the MUSIC and I dance my pants off to the MUSIC. I do not participate in the drug aspect of it, because, thats why we dont have parties in Indiana anymore, we have club events (which are great!! Go promoter in Indy!!! :)). I SUPPORT MUSIC AND DJS AND DANCERS. I guess MC's too.

I have never seem so many people hate on candie kidz , they are happy people- yeah, until their drugs wear off then they turn into cracked out junkies just like sid and nancy. Do candy kids live at raves, are ‘raves’ their whole life, if so, that’s really sad. I know I have REAL life aspirations and goals, not simply looking for the next rave to get fucked up at… you’re so smart *smell my sarcasm*

This has definately kept my interest while sitting in a cubicle doing absolutley nothin but stare at a screen.

Yes, i remember you and me watching that one kid, and there's just nothing you can do for someone when they get to that point. It gives you a bad feeling, makes it hard to enjoy yourself when you're watching someone die!!
