Official Paedo Discussion Megathread v2

This was the only scurrulous rumour to emerge about John Peel, not much was made of it, no one wanted to tarnish his beloved reputation. Its sad to say it, but in some ways its better that hes died rather than have his legendary reputation tarnished and dragged through the mud. Of course the line has to be drawn somewhere (16 legally /18 morally ?) and im not condoning taking advantage of underage girls for one minute.

I don't think it was a secret - he states in his autobiography that he was fucking very young teenagers while he was in america and that no-one asked to see the birth certificate. Always made it plain that he like schoolgirls, I think there was a big competition he had for 20 years about women sending him photos dressed as schoolgirls.

I think Ian Watkins has a touch of the Peter Sutcliffe about him. Green v-necks anyone?

I didnt know that either. I wonder why their was no witch hunt for old Peely then. Too much respect for him/ obvious lack of evidence/ no point in prosecuting a dead person. Shit, maybe hed be put through the ringer like all the others if he was still alive. What a fall from grace that would be.

They were sniffing around him a few months ago but it seems to have died off.

Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins has pleaded guilty to numerous child sex offenses. Watkins’ trial for a large number of sex crimes was scheduled to begin this week, but having “furiously denied” the alleged offenses in the past, Watkins shocked the court by pleading guilty before the trial officially started.

Earlier today (Nov. 26), Watkins pleaded guilty to a total of 13 charges including two counts of attempted rape and a count of sexual assault of a child under 13. One of the children in question was less than a year old. Additionally, Watkins admitted to three counts of sexual assault involving children; six counts of taking, making and possessing indecent images of children; and one act of possessing an extreme pornographic image involving a sex act on an animal.

As details have been unveiled, the story has become increasingly disturbing. Two women were originally arrested along with Watkins for the alleged sex crimes, and according to BBC, prosecuting barrister Chris Clee revealed that “both women sexually abused their own children and made them available to Watkins for him to abuse.” Evidence of the abuse came through text messages sent from Watkins. One text reads, “If you belong to me, so does your baby.” Another says, “She needs to know Mummy and daddy don’t love her.” Watkins also planned to “teach” the babies how to take drugs including crack cocaine.

One of the women associated with Watkins admitted to the attempted rape of a baby and sexual assault charges along with taking and distributing an indecent photo of the child. The second woman admitted to charges of conspiring to rape a child, three sexual assault charges and four charges of taking, possessing or distributing indecent images.

Wales Online has been live-blogging the hearing where Watkins pleaded guilty. According to the source, Watkins recorded his attempted rapes on film. The footage was found in “cloud” storage belonging to Watkins after Government Communications Headquarters cracked the singer’s password. Watkins claims that he does not remember the attempted rapes which were recorded. Wales Online also reports that the court has heard details regarding that case that “are too graphic to be published.”

“This investigation has uncovered the most shocking and harrowing child abuse evidence I’ve ever seen,” DCI Peter Doyle of the South Wales Police stated in the hearing. “There is no doubt in my mind that Ian Watkins exploited his celebrity status in order to abuse young children.”

Watkins and the two female defendants are scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 18.

I think Ian Watkins has a touch of the Peter Sutcliffe about him. Green v-necks anyone?

Oof. Nobody's ever matched Sutcliffe for sheer sartorial perversity.

Apparently Bobby Gillespie allegedly said in some of his interviews that he liked his girls "the younger the better". This was about 20 years ago way before all this mass hysteria about peadophiles, jim morrison sang "oh show me the way to the next little girl." Of course these people may have just been seeking attention and controversy but neither would dare say such things in todays climate. Fucks sake even keith richards says in his autobiaography they didnt ask to see any groupies birth certificates, and this sort of thing was going on all the time for them, probably for most of the the 'fuckin superstar' bands have the same thing going on. I suppose these days they get the bouncers/minders to clear out all the underage girls. Its a messy business though.

I think this sort of thing is far more common and widespread than is actually reported. One woman said she slept with John Peel when she was 15 and he was much older, but she didnt feel that hed taken advantage of her, she wanted it. This was the only scurrulous rumour to emerge about John Peel, not much was made of it, no one wanted to tarnish his beloved reputation. Hold on, let's not lose sight of the differences between the Watkins case and the John Peel allegations - or any other underage groupie story, as unsavoury and expolitative they may be in their own way.

Watkins is a different kettle of fish entirely. He appears to have persuaded young fans (one or both of whom may have been under 16 when he first made their acquaintance) to become complicit in sexual abuse of their own children. He was in possession of child porn, some involving said abuse.

This is far, far more sinister, surely?

yes definately. I hadnt bothered to read the gory details of the watkins case.

One laptop seized from Watkins's home was password protected with an obscenity relating to sexual activity with children, which was uncovered when it was sent to GCHQ to be cracked.

Don't think they really needed GCHQ for that...

PGP encryption is almost only used for email.

Other forms of encryption are used for hard disks (or rather file systems thereon) and yeah they can be hard or practically impossible to crack.

But it just says "password protected" which if that's all it is, is no trouble at all to me, Ceres, and any other twat with l0phtcrack boot disk.

They were probably just stumped with the impossible task of getting past the windows log on screen, if his hard drive was encrypted they would not have been able to get past it. Thats why they have the charge of something along the lines of "not surrendering encrypted a computers passcode", that some pedos choose to have, rather than letting them into the computer, still carries a strong sentence though if I remember.

Sort of like that bastard charge related to drug/drunk driving, not giving a sample of blood/giving a test carries the same sentence as being convicted of drunk/drug driving, ye cannae win.

You're right MDB I'm talking shit. PGP is used for drive encryption. But it doesn't say that!

And in my defence they only started using PGP for drive encryption in 2002. It was traditionally for email only. Now 2002 might sound like an awful long time ago and I should have caught up, but I haven't, so there =D

so 'innocent until proven guilty' no longer applies. In this case its guilty until proven innocent.
