Sorry, the maturity of someone who thinks he has a right to decide someone's worth and whether they deserve to live or die based on their thoughts alone seems to escape me.

I feel like the fact that you even felt the need to bring the age difference up is just proof that you don't have an answer for my arguments. Speaking of which, you appear to have completely skipped over my last relevant points (post 137) before we got sidetracked on this frankly much less interesting discussion.

im saying my view of relationships is more realistic than hers, probably because ive seen and experienced a lot more than her

she is seeing things in a more idealistic / romantic way becasue she is less jaded

this is the difference that is often exploited in age gap relationships...

like i say. it proves my point
 
I'm not idealistic nor am I romantic. I just think it's stupid to assume you can only have a real relationship with someone your age cuz, well, that suggests that probably over 90% of relationships out there aren't 'real' or whatever.

But as I said. If you feel the need to belittle my points based on the fact I'm younger than you, I'm just going to assume it's because you don't know how to answer my actual arguments.
 
Well being an SLR mod, I can assure you they do and I've seen many posts about it - lots of people have admitted to it on that forum. It's not a rare fantasy, at all, so you need another way to answer my post.

I'm sorry I'm getting pissed off but it's really kind of insulting and ridiculous to be told your opinion doesn't matter because you're younger.

people dont post on that forum "shit i dont have rape fantasys!" because they dont feel the need to...

Is someone who has rape fantasies and never acts on them a rapist? Do they deserve to die? Do they automatically have nothing to offer to the world, bearing in mind they haven't hurt anyone?

Older people are more often than not maturer than younger people and their views on relationships are more valid-----> I am older than her, therefore my view is more valid because--------->Older people are more often than not maturer than younger people and their views on relationships are more valid.....


Those suppositions alone carry absolutely zero weight as a 'proof' of your arguments validity, as you claim they do. First of all the original supposition would need to be that older peoples opinions are always more valid than a younger persons (which is clearly untrue). You would then still have a circular piece of resoning that by itself proves nothing. To have a valid piece of reasoning that could constitute a proof you would would need to evidence the two premises...

1. Older peoples opinions on relationships are always more valid than younger peoples
2. I am older than her

...and then you could form a valid piece of deductive reasoning from those two hypothesis.

I'm impressed by Pagey's mature attitude and objectivity. I know many older people who have failed to develop such a mature attitude. Age is no guarantee of maturity.

It's not even a guarantee of experience; I just watched a documentary about 40 year old virgins. Thankfully I'm not one :) But it demonstrates that you can't judge someone purely on their age.

You can reasonably assume that an older person is more likely to have had more experience, and more likely to have a mature attitude. But it's not much more likely, IMO. A fair bit, but not enough to make it a safe bet.

Generalising is always about probabilities, and probabilities are fucking tricky.

That's all I've got to say! (for the moment anyway)
 
Pagey seems cool, I read something that I thought was waaaaay off the mark the other day though. Can't remember what it was unfortunately. Cool story I know.

Yeah I've read her talking pish as well, but when you tell her she's talking pish, she's OK about it. Try that with most adults (actually most people) and you're in for fun times.

I do Bluelight in a cockney accent. Actually it's Shambles' accent, which probably isn't cockney, but it's close enough for me. Fun fact! Just occurred to me.
 
Lol, I've just remembered what it was and it's not very important or meaningful at all actually. Was just when she was going on about how impressed her and her mates would be with a guy playing guitar in a band.

I don't know what he's talking about either, I'm talking about you apparently misreading a post in one of BHM's shit threads, or one of the one's he's decided to dominate, and I picked up on it, and you didn't start bawling at me. I might have been talking pish myself. I just thought you handled me accusing you of talking pish in a very mature way =D

It's not a knock on you, I just thought it was funny how in awe of anyone who can smash out a few chords on a guitar you are. Probably just me being a grumpy old cunt, although I'm sure your views on that one will change as you get a bit older.=D
 
Tone not meant to be insulting, as I mentioned I remembered it being something waaaaay more important than it actually was!

Also, I am a sucker for hyperbole and it backfires sometimes. =D
