Hint: The majority of the time you'll be getting the 406 because you have typed a system command followed by a ( try changing all your ('s to ['s and you usually fix the problem.
 
Welcome to BL Boo/puddin :) You can post in support even when your account has not yet been authenticated by responding to the activation email. You need to go to the email you used to register and find the email from BL. Click on the link there to be able to post in most BL forums. The Lounge will take til you have 50 posts and are a BLer.

Don't forget to check spam and bulk folders if you can not find the email.
 
Not getting my activation email

Hi everyone. I signed up to the site and the system isn't sending the activation email to me so i can confirm my account and post. I tried having it resent, I checked my spam folder etc.... and its clear the system isnt sending out the email. What should I do? Thanks so much.
 
Perhaps trying a different email. If you are using yahoo, yahoo often drops BL mail for some reason. You can put a different email in the edit email and password section in the choices on the right in userCP

I am using gmail. I will try with an aol webmail account and report back. Thanks

Wow, I just attempted it with aol and it went right through. This means gmail is blocking Bluelight as well. I am glad I can post now. Thanks for the recommendation.
 
I registered and have yet to receive an email for verification ...oh well I tried.
 
maybe you should start a 'Support Social Thread' for everyone that can't get activated. ;)

gmail has never caused me any problems btw.
 
^I think thats a great idea :D We can just leave them there and let them all try and figure it out for themselves (giving them full access to this thread and everything... surely at least one person knows how to read!)

gmail is a new one, we have apparently been placed in their spam filter just recently. :(
 
No Email Yet

I haven't seen an email in order to set my "account" up. It's [email protected]. Any Ideas????

I have usually gotten the email close to instantaneously. Do remember to check spam & bulk folders. It has never taken more than an hour for me. Some mail servers are slower about new emails showing up.
 
You need to find the activation email that was sent to the email you used to register with BL then click on the link in that email. Double check spam or bulk mail folders.
