Portugal vs. Netherlands begins in two hours.

bugger off, he isnt play a game again in this tournament, got hacked in the 1st half... GONE...

what a fuckin game, well more what a 2nd half, im disapointed Netherlands couldnt equalise and win the game, and im even more disapointed Ruud Van Nistorey didnt get a shot, i dont understand how he didnt. Espically after Deco was sent off...

But what the fuck happened out there, it went from normal soccer, to fuckin headbutts pushing red cards and all types of crazy shit...

Fair enuf, the Netherlands didnt to the right thing at once stage and kick the ball back, but Deco's tackle nearly deserved straight red.

England must be pretty happy with the result, knowing the Deco and Costhina wont be playing and there is a cloud of Christiano Ronaldo (as shown above)

Another disapointing tournament for the Dutch, and its sad to see them go...

Well. its 18 hours away... im going to have to sleep when i get home from work to watch this game, just coz i woke up at 5 for the game this morning

To be honest, from watching the secoind half I would have to say that Holland deserve to be out........they offerred nothing.

And why with 15 mins left and down 1-0 do u put another defender on?

They were crap.

I don't think you understand football if you don't understand the substitutes and if you think Holland was crap. If you had payed attention, we were only playing with 2 defenders in the end, the third got put on because we had to watch for the counter, also a logical substitution because van Bommel already had yellow and we couldn't afford to loose another player. We played with 4 strikers and 2 offensive midfielders in the end, 3 defenders and 2 yet again when van Bronckhorst got sent out. Holland created FAR more chances, Holland was FAR more dangerous, we had a possession of 65%, we dominated the game but failed to score, that was the only thing lacking. Have you payed attention, at all?

And what arrogance to say that Holland has nothing to offer when you're supporting a country like Australia. Can't get more crazy than that.

Woah there partner... it's just commentary on a game, and someone's opinion on how they were playing... we aren't attacking your country, and I know you are not in the best of moods now that the Oranje are out... but please... don't be attacking the Aussies just because of that...

BTW, I'm annoyed that the Dutch are out... although I thought they might go out against Portugal... Tough draw, it's unfortunate.

I'm not attacking the Aussies, I'm just saying that compared to Holland, Australia has much less to offer. When someone claims Holland has nothing to offer, he hasn't got much football knowledge, I find it a ridiculous statement. IMO, although I'm biased, Holland had more to offer than Portugal or Australia at this WC.
 
Blowmonkey.........I am personally dissapointed to see Holland bow out of the WC, they were one of my favourites.........but I was even more dissapointed to see the way they played late in the game..........they just seemed devoid of ideas.

I will however offer that maybe they were extremely tired........thats the only explanation I could think of for the way they played.

I respect that yes they couild not afford to concede another goal but the fact is that no guts no glory.

By the way, what was the problem with Nistelroy?..........Im guessing he was injured?


Oh and if Australia provides a similar lack of enthusiasm in the dieing moments tonight should we be behind then I would bemoan trhere performance to.

A friend of mine swore by the method of putting $50 down for Italy to win.

WIth the philosophy that he is then happy no matter what happens in the match.

Sounds like a solid philosophy to me. Though it feels like it is diluting the passion.

well kewell is out according to sbs news. yay. i know he's not playing too well of late, but you can see the lift he gives the team anytime he comes on as a sub. yay. :\

he should be known for his skills not for his abilililllity to adraw women..o yea..and gL to the aussies on here..only 4:30 to go
