Can't believe that Croatian guy got three yellow cards in the end, what a pathetic ref. And the obvious handball?!

Feel bad for Kalac, that's probably the worst game he's had in his entire career. The second goal, what a blunder.

Couldn't help but laugh when the Croatian goalkeeper got the ball in the box but both Cahill and Aloisi (I think?) tried to kick it in for a goal and pretty much crushed the guy...

And I think everyone breathed a sigh of relief when Viduka didn't take the penalty. Thank fuck!

Very deserved, the draw almost like a win!

I think it was a bit of a risk putting Kalac in as he has had no time in the world cup, it was such a crucial game and schwarzer has been in great form. I think it's safe to say schwarzer will be in against italy.

The refereeing.... ohh my god. I'm glad Craig Foster actually spoke his mind because it was honestly bullshit. Dirty dirty Simunic finishing the game with THREE yellow cards?! Interesting.

Regardless of that, we got through!!!!

I agree though, Viduka needs to STRIKE. Anyway! WOOOOOOOO!!!

Ah I forgot about that! Funniest moment, Craig Foster going absolutely off his head about the referee. Afterwards, Les Murray was like "Why don't you go and have a beer now to calm down?"

The game is Tuesday morning at 12.30am.
 
Kalac is no monkey, he makes his living at AC Milan, not exactly a second-grade team full of tards.

Everyone has a bad day, unfortunately for him it was probably in the biggest game of his international (and possibly entire) career.

Anyway, all's well that ends well. I'm still not convinced on Schwarzer either, the only really good game I've seen him play recently was against Netherlands... Sevilla put four goals past him in his last club game.

Bring back Bosnich I say... I'll supply the coke! ;)

you'd have to say kewell was active offside but i guess the flag staying down makes up for the penalty aust should have won, one of them anyway, and who's complaining?

i'm just wondering how much luck we have left?

but he has played a handful of games, as much as domestic league to international is a different story. Having game time on your side is a must...

Schwarzer wouldnt of stopped the first goal, i dont think many keepers would of been able to stop that... but the 2nd goal was just regulation... to the fact he wasnt even going to catch, it looked like he was going to push it away... straight to a croatain player...

Yes, my heart is green n gold, and yes Harry was offside, but just like in the first game, karma is a bitch... and we got our backs :D

I already got tuesday off :D
 
Horrible game, great result. That ref would be out of his depth in a cup of coffee.

Kalac had a shocker. But then, he is a tremendous fuckwit. And we made it, so who cares.
 
Well I got up at 2:30am this morning and I'm now a walking zombie.

Worth the lack of sleep though, quite exciting stuff. Some bad calls by that ump, a shocking keeper and an unexplainable finish with yellow and red cards gives something to talk about =D

Although its a game that's full of bullshit penalties and Oscar winning dives, I'm addicted! The crowd in the cafe district in Brizzy this morning was huge! Cheering, chanting, fireworks, and flares, all before 7am.....I love the game!

I predicted Kalacs would be a problem as soon as I saw jhim on the sheet..........ask Choppsy cos he was one I sent a text to before the game.......Kalacs had his usual error ridden game...............nothing more and nothing less.

Andf dont start with cerap about he plays for a serie A team...........Im still laughing about that.

Trust me, i know what Im talkkin about OK.

But Im over it..........and now Im celebvrating./wooohooo.

Might even know more about the Aussie side than you do, seeing as most of them play in Europe, eh. Kalacs is not a bad keeper, otherwise he wouldn't have been the number 1 keeper previously at 55 matches or something. Scwarzer is on par with him, it's really not like they're both great keepers, I saw Schwarzer play a great game against Holland, the other two games it was nothing special, he hesitated at crucial moments, which is deadly for a keeper. But you probably didn't notice that. I didn't think it was a weird substitution, he gave him a chance, probably hoping he'd do his best against his former home country, they usually got something extra in those cases. This time he blundered. Noone could have predicted that. Oh, right, you could. Why don't you go coach the Aussies then, with all your wisdom, eh?

haha, sorry mate, I was a bit pissed last night aye.............nah, I have been watching spider since he was a boy and unfortunately those silly mistakes have always been his trademark, the dropped ball in the first period and then of course the goal and the rushed throwing of the ball to a Crow in the dieing minutes.

Your right in that Schwarz is not perfect but he is a hell of a lot better.

I will accept that I am probably a wee bit biased as Scwarz and I were together at Marconi for many years.
