I wasn't referring to watching replays, i was referring to taking the day off or coming in late!

I've already gotten permission to come in "late" which is anytime before 6pm.....
 
I need the money for my holiday....I still have to work out if sacrificing this is worth 180 dollars but I suppose I will find out...I have a sneaking suspicion that given victory it won't be.....

WHAT!? Crouch is fucking shite in the air - actually he's shite full stop. For someone so tall he makes hard work of heading a ball. Plus I thought his goal against T&T was a foul on the defender and should not have been allowed.

Steven Gerrard goal was just fuckin amazing, he always just seems to pull these goals from fuckin anywhere...

Not for England he doesn't. His past performances for the national side have been extremely lackluster - probably due to Sven's system more than the player. He totally disappeared in the 2nd half against Paraguay... but of course scoring a cracking goal makes people forget all that!

Yep, that fucker grabbed the dreads of that T&T defender and pulled his head back. But it was barely noticable, I only saw it in the replay, so can't really blame the ref.

either im really drunk, or the Czech forgot to put their boots on
 
Fantastic game by Ghana against the Czech Republic. One of the most enjoyable games of the tournament so far. At least an hour very, very well spent! Well done, boys.

Two surprise results overnight with Ghana smacking the Checks bums 2-0 and even more surprising for me was the USA (one of the worst teams at the WC IMO) managing a draw with Italy.

Big chance now that the loser of Italy and Checks will miss out.
 
i kinda half watched the ghana game...

that team has that much heart, and that is really what got them over the line, they are very unlucky the score wasnt higher, they just couldnt time their runs late in the game...

And to wake up and find out Italy drew with the USA, is a bit of a worry for all Italian fans...

Own goals happen, thats fair (fuck my soccer team had a 1-1 draw yesterday coz of an own goal) but the italians must be kicking themselfs

Who cares really... This time tomorrow we are all going to be celebrating the great win by Australia over Brazil

I've tipped France to win against South Korea... but somehow I just don't think they will... they seem to be completely averse to scoring goals... they haven't scored a goal in a World Cup since the Final in '98... if they can get that monkey off their back, they are a chance... but I dunno... I don't think France are going to go very well this time around...
 
well half time well, actaully, the 2nd half just started

Croatia should at least have 1, if not 2....

Japan are defending good enuf to keep in them in the game, i want japan to win...

The save on the penalty save was just brilliant, great work Jap keeper...

Well, seems like you Aussies might make the second round now after that horrible game from Japan - Croatia. Congrats.

But yeah, like Sim0n said, please, don't get your hopes up for the game against Brazil. It's going to be merciless.
 
Yep, 0-0 is the best possible result for us here.....now all we need is a draw against brazil and we have one foot in the door. A 3-3 draw would be nice :)
 
40 minutes through the game and pop popavich is taken off.

0-0 so far, although brazil seem to be getting a heap of shots almost in. cant say the same for us :(
