Where did this saying originate? I only ask because I was having a drink to aid a hangover and someone there at the time mentioned the 'hair of the dog' thing, then we started trying to figure out where it comes from? Anyone?

Can anybody recommend a brand of computer tower? I've been pretty happy with my Acer but it's a bit noisy. Requirements are a good disk drive (not Blue-ray) about 500gb HDD, and the right ports to hook up two HD Samsung monitors?

I'm going to buy the monitors from my mate at the electrical store, but he will have to order the tower separately. I'm going to buy a good Logi mouse, and maybe keyboard too... got speakers :)

I followed the suggested build on a $800 computer setup a couple of months back, and it is beastly on a budget. Games. Music. Video editing. Whatever.

It's a forum of IT professionals fighting amongst themselves to suggest the best quality items at the best price... all without the financial incentive bullshit smokescreen that you would have to deal with in a store.

Even if you followed their advice and paid the store to build it for you rather than build it yourself, you would probably come out saving significant $$.

1 pm finishes are awesome! Probably the only advantage for starting at 5am.

We recently (last 3-4 months) replenished our desktop PC's at work with Dells and we have been rather happy with them.

Have you ever thought about making your own?
