LSD is, and will always be, the gold standard for psychedelics. There's a reason for that. In fact, there are many reasons for that.
You want an enlightening experience? Buddhism is pretty damn close to peak LSD experiences. Slivers of enlightenment, I like to call them. My last LSD experience involved me sitting on
a deserted beach with a fellow tripper and meditating for hours, just looking at the ocean in front of me. Time stood still. My existence transcended all time, past, present, and future. It all came slamming into me at once, but, instead of being scary or overwhelming..it was amazingly peaceful. I felt the buzz of the universe. I felt the ocean breathing and every living thing on the planet Earth breathing with it, breathing with me. Living with me, as a part of me. Existing with me for the sake of fucking existing. All boundaries of all consciousness melted away, into a, well, into an ocean. That same ocean that was right in front of me. I felt an amazing interconnectedness with all of the universe and all existence, all of time, all of my experiences, past and future. My birth, my death - they are the same thing. I experienced well,
everything.
That is what I would describe as a "peak experience". That was always two years ago now and I haven't done any psychedelics since then, because, well, I honestly feel that that experience is probably not able to be topped. We'll see.
