NY dope thread because why not

Ya forgot we were jackin the thread, sorry NY heads..

I wish I could say I've traveled as much of the country as you have. I have been throughout the east coast though from Maine to Florida. I live on the MA North Shore, a little less than 10 miles north of downtown Boston.

And to answer your question with a little extra background; I started opiates as a rare treat in '07 and my use grew in frequency until I started my pretty much daily oxycodone use in early 2010. I started using H shortly after the OC 80s fell off and the 30mg IRs got to be too expensive. So I honestly have only been in the dope game for a few years, but I consider myself more knowledgable than many people I've met who've used/been around H and opiates in general for a lot longer than myself. I'm still only in my early 20s and would like to stop this habit sooner rather than later, not like that desire is unique or anything though.

^No Id say youve definitely been in the game for awhile....some people don't even make it a year.....

Yeah PM me anytime man....

New York junkies, you know I love you!

You've been a really cool dude to talk to since I've joined here Blues and I appreciate that. I'll take you up on that PM sometime for sure man.

Damn that really sucks about the east coast, but it doesn't surprise me. Do they ever serve breakfast?

And yeah, from your description, the west coast seems as if would be much less harsh for the homeless.

At one place they gave you a bowl of cereal at 6am, and dinner at 6pm. You had to leave at 7am though, and not come back until after 6. The one good thing is that you can call emergency services anytime after 4:30 and they will send a cab to you, but there is no telling where they will put you. I lucked out one weekend when the shelter was full, and they put me in a motel for the weekend. The bad thing about that is you are on your own for food, and some motels are nasty. The worst is if you are sent to the shelter for the sex offenders, but most people turn that down and sleep on the street.

bst of luck Tommyboy. just got a place w/ the wife after a year and two mo nths of living in a tent around the Seattle area. 22 yrs ol d.

yo Tommy I wish I lived closer so I could make your life easier man and if I still had my own place Id seriously let you stay there right now because this weather is no joke dude and you are always helping mad people on here and the favor is gonna get returned at some point trust me dude. I know talk is cheap and shit but if this was this time last year id seiously drive up to NYC and we'd go back to my crib and just chill man.

pm me any time you want bro I dont lie about shit like this

^ Someone is high =D

I appreciate it guys. I know it will turn around soon. It's already looking up, but still a long way to go.

I may be high but that is usually when I speak the most truth.

Best of luck to you Tommy I know this is just a funk for you right now and everyone has them its just whether you learn from them is the important part. And for every one of me, someone who tells you how cool you are, there are probably 100 people who may not be active bluelighters but have been helped by something you said.

Keep your head up man and like I said the pm box is always open

Tommy just watch out for buffalo bill. He will skin you and turn you into a Joe dirt jacket

It will.. Sometimes you just have to take a long break from the partying, and enjoying life to work your ass off and build yourself up a bit... then come back to it built up and dabble with control.

Nice to have NY threat to post to .. I'm up in the HV and used to go to NJ until that got played .. now I travel to BK, which over the past 5 years has had a pretty steady stream of good sutff.. definitely at the top of the pack right now (although there's the crap out there too, which I've fortunately only had to get when nothing else was available..not too often, but when you're spending $200-$300 every other day, its' hard when it's not proper) - I'm just getting so tired of taking that drive - 45 minutes isn't too bad, but the mileage on my car and those tolls are killing me you know? I always hear about all these 'local busts' which makes me nuts cuz I can't seem to figure it out 'next door' only miles and miles away lol ..it's crazy (but maybe a good thing, a something local could be really, really bad for me lol).

Anyway, at this point I need to try and get straight again - I just have such a hard time getting on those stupid subs ..once I'm on them I'm generally OK, but it's getting there that's been impossible for me lately .. I never know if I'm sick enough and think I freak myself out .. I always feel like no matter how long I wait, it never makes me feel better...and I've waited upwards of 48 hours where I'm pretty much dying only to take subs and end up puking or worse afterwards (someone once told me that maybe I'm waiting too long..but I dunno how much I believe that)...pretty much feel like I can't win and there's no way out anymore...weird to think I'm getting close to the point where I've been doing this longer in my life than not .. don't even remember what it's like on the other side anymore.

Well anyway glad to be amongst my fellow NY's -looking forward to hearing more from local people like myself especially since everyone I used to know who got down moved away...

tommy, i initially thought you were just bullshitting and joking about the homeless situation but realise it's for real.

shit, man, i hope things pull together for you soon, brother. best of luck, man. i know you'll be able to turn things around with minimal troubles.

Yeah, I was homeless living in a shelter in brooklyn like 2 years ago. The food sucked and it also sucks how they kick out out of bed at 8am and close the rooms. The most important thing i was worried about was safety and the thing they told me i only had to worry about was trannies. I thought nothing of that, I was worried about violence cause it was my first time in a shelter. I was surprised about how there wasn't people getting high in the open. There was a lot of weed, 1 or 2 crackheads, but no one shooting dope or anything. Sorry to hear you're in a bad spot right now Tommy, I know i don't know you, But if you're in NYC, I'd be able to help you out with a couple bucks if you want.

Been getting some good to fire shit out of Brooklyn for a while now. Just found out that my guy is more big time than I thought since he doesn't get his shit prebagged and stamped and actually does it himself. Last time I copped from him he gave me just open unstamped bags because he was running late but I didn't mind because he threw me two extra and I just watched him scoop the dope directly from his big bag into my stamp bags WITHOUT stepping on it! Looks like I somehow found one of the only smart businessmen in the game. Also explains why his shit is so fire all the time and i can't stand my other dealer's shit anymore haha. Who knew I've been getting raw all along, just scooped out into stamp bags. Anyway, how's it going with the rest of New York? I got 14 bags of fire still in my pocket so I'm feeling good:)

Edit: just fixed up and am nodding pretty nice now. But does anyone else have a problem pushing the plunger with the needle in their arm? Like sometimes that shit don't wanna budge. Makes me super nervous, don't wanna push too hard or put weird pressure on the needle because I don't want to shoot too fast and miss or worse blow my vein out or just move it too much.

Anyway, does anyone else encounter this problem? And any tips for solving it?
Damn, I've never copped in BK but that sounds stimulating. I might take a train ride out there with my girl friend soon.

^^

Brooklyn has had the best dope in the city for a while now.. many years from what I remember besides a few random occurrences in Manhattan with really good dope. But, consistently, BK has been where it's it.

Anything open air? I live in dc but i go to ny a couple times a year, usually i just stock up here before i go but im thinking about trying my hand at finding something up there. idk though, a friend of mine whos been using almost 30 years and has copped there before (years ago though) had no luck whatsoever when he went a year or two ago which sort of discourages me, seeing as when the two of us went to baltimore for the first time we were absolutely swimming in it in minutes, and even just looking around dc for new stuff he almost always finds something, and dc is most definitely not open air, and hasnt been for a looong time either.. Idk any advice? Obviously im not going there empty handed, but is it even worth attempting?

The open air markets in NYC disappeared a long time ago for the most part... there's some parts of BK and the projects in Manhattan where you can find people on the corners but it's super rare.

China Town has them in the form of those fruit stands.. you have to know which ones to go to, but they serve dope and coke out of them. Very good stuff too.

You have to know somebody. The few spots that exist where you can gets served even close to open air still rarely deal with strangers.. and if you ask random junkies for shit, you'll either get ripped off, or get horrible dope.
