NPS Act V1. Blankets? Just Say No!

They will be going on their jolly holidays soon so I doubt it'll be rushed thru before then. Yeah time to get lobbying and not e lobbying proper pen and paper stuff. Sack falls of mail. All law creation is snide.

yep practical action enaging with the politicians like we should on any important issue, democracy isnt just about voting. I think people letting off steam online about things like this distracts them from actually doing something that might make a difference, like writing to your MP.

38 degrees are a great lobbying group https://home.38degrees.org.uk/

from an email

As you may already be aware, the UK Government is moving to pass a ridiculous bill that will effectively ban all research chemicals within the UK.
It is clear the ban will undoubtedly do more harm than good but that's another story!
In response to a number of your emails asking if we are still open? can you still buy from our store etc? - We can assure all our UK customers that at this time, no date for the ban has been announced and you're free to continue placing orders with us.
We will be sure to announce details of the ban as soon as we are in a position to do so.
*It should also be pointed out that possession of substances subject to the ban WILL NOT BE A CRIME under the new laws leaving you free to buy and possess such compounds.
If you're a non-UK client, then this ban will not effect you in any way!

Which reminds me...

How complicated is it going to be for LE to deal with people are going to have a mix of drugs on them, some of which are legal to possess & some of which are not. For instance, I might go to a fest with a blotter of LSD & a tab of 1P-LSD to take together. The Police, if they are very bloody lucky, might find them both. How do they know which is legal & which is not?

Guess they'll just continue to do what they already do - seize everything pending analysis. However, at the moment they will return substances proven to be legal, but I doubt they'll do that once the ban is in force as that could be construed as supply - probably.

Anyone know how the drug driving laws work in relation to RCs? Say you're caught having a crafty toot of 3-fpm in a layby ( something I'd NEVER do BTW ;) ), would they have to prove you were unfit to drive or is that assumed?

I've treated legals the same as illegals when going to festivals. No doubt they'll inconvenience you until it can be proved the dodgy seeming substance you have is legal. By the time they've sorted it out, your day will be at least partially spoilt.

Okay I have erred. I shouldn't have put disease in there. Alcohol, tobacco and pharmacuetical drugs (Not including narcotics like benzos and opiates.). this is a 1 year death statistic.

i've probs missed it somewhere but there's too many pages lol. - when is this ban predicted to actually take place?

Prohibition has never worked. It just gives rise to a larger market for crime lords, gangs etc. I honestly do not see this happenning. If it does, then there will be more places making more things legal to attract tourists and joy seekers.

I do not think it's the marijuana that is addictive. I think people enjoy it. And miss escaping. It's very recreational and fun. Everything u experience is alot funner and your senses are intensified so you notice more details. Many studies have shown a plethera of benefits to using it. Also it's very rare for someone to rob a liquor store for a dime bag.It has to be the most friendly drug out there, because the first impulse after taking a hit is wanting to pass it to someone else.

Addiction to cannabis seems quite likely but harm derived from the addiction, less so. Just my opinion of course.

I'd put that the other way around myself. Addiction to cannabis seems wildly unlikely to me but harm (in the form of various mental health matters) seems entirely likely. Not especially common, perhaps, but a real possibility. I would really only be talking about the strains that are insanely (quite literally in some cases) high in THC with little CBD to balance it out, mind.

That aside, in relation to previous alcohol discussion, I have precisely zero memory of making any posts whatsoever in this thread before this one. Ethanol <3... :sus:

I think the few years I spent smoking an 8th a day have had more of a lasting effect than any other drug I've taken, legal or illegal. I haven't touched the stuff for years, but I believe the fairly low level social anxiety I have is mainly down to that period - I never worried before, but now I overthink things to stupid extents.

I am not sure about that, I know a lot of people whom are really mentally addicted to erb and if they don't smoke for one day they are climbing the walls. Its definitely not a physical addiction per say but the mental part does trigger some physical type 'W/D' symptoms. Its nothing compared to benzos, smack or coke ect but it is still a fucker.

Is it right that it won't affect overseas sales? In that case it won't be a problem. Although it has always been illegal to import, but they don't seem to mind.

I meant out of the UK. But I think you might be wrong. Everything is illegal in Scandinavia but everyone still ships here, seems like it's more the destination country's problem.

Here customs control are really strict, but I don't know if it could be done for such a large population. So not such a big deal unless you're on probation. I've never been able to buy domestically.

By the way, does anyone know if Kratom is legal in France and Portugal, where you're more likely to go on holiday?
