I just got myself a gram of this stuff and the bitter taste is very distinctive even when put in something that's flavored. Etizolam never had this, it was much more... Under the radar as far as gustatory sensation of bitterness.
I experimented with a highly concentrated 1.5 ml of volume (PG solution, crystals crash out at room temp so needs reheating before loading a diabetic syringe for accurate dosing for my method) with about 20 mg dissolved, so each 0.1 ml should have been something like 1.33 mg.
Anyway, my first couple rounds with it were pretty pleasant, I was mixing it with my ADHD meds and I love stepping on the gas and the brake at the same time. You get the euphoria without all the edginess but there was a point in the dose curve that I became extremely slow speaking, my cognition slowed down to the point of literal retardation. I could articulate complex thoughts but it was almost as if I was on 0.3x playback speed and I would struggle to fetch the vocabulary necessary to convey my thoughts.
It was almost as if I was having a stroke, but it was just because I was on too much bromaz, and I'm not 100% sure how much I took but I'm fairly confident it was somewhere around 4 mg total (maybe more like 6... Legit can't remember) which isn't much to be fair.
So from then on, I'm very wary about using it while out and about. It doesn't have the same clear-headed anxiolytic effect as etiz or alpraz.
And if I was going to compare it to diazepam, diazepam for me is a very sleepy benzo, but quite euphoric when mixed with a low dose stimulant like dextroamphetamine, very long half-life. The clearance time is about 8 days or so. If you look at the half-life of diazepam (it was Avisaphone but that is a prodrug for diazepam) about 39.5 hours, whereas bromazolam *if* it is somewhere between 10 and 20 hours, at least that's about half, but it's all speculation because we don't really have a lot of proper pharmacological or rather pharmacokinetic data on the metabolization and the clearance of the substance.
But I do find if I take my dose around 8:00 p.m., I sleep like a rock for about 8 hours. I get up a little bit groggy for the first hour or two and then I have a bit of a strange sensation in my brain like it's turning into a f****** raisin or something. Doesn't really feel great, so again, that makes me wary about dosing frequently repeatedly or in high doses.
I read a thread by a young man on Reddit who said he took about three mg at school and felt like he was quite clear-headed and sober, and decided to take an additional 3 mg and he experienced the same slurring slow speech patterns that I myself had experienced. Luckily I was in a private setting at home because I have a professional occupation where I am absolutely not able to present in the healthcare setting exhibiting symptoms of intoxication like that.
So, in summary, I believe it has its merits, it is obviously a recreational RC and it is not produced by professional pharmacologists in a USP setting. This is made by underground Labs for people who needed something to go to after Etizolam got banned.
If I had the foresight, and I really knew what I was missing out on when tiz would finally be banned, I really wish I bought like an ounce of that stuff.
Alas, I only got a few grams and I used it pretty steady for 5 years, the short half-life was absolutely a godsend, and the fact that it is actually a prescription medication in many countries was another positive for its safety profile.
Some good alternatives I would say, probably just abstinence from stimulants if you're using it to come down from a little bit of hedonism. Try to make sure that you have some time set aside so that you don't make a complete goon out of yourself in public and perhaps lose your job. Your license or accidentally hurt somebody else because it can absolutely happen with the delusions of sobriety.
If I can get my hands on a gram of ralmazaphone, that would be my next go-to as my experiments with it showed essentially zero recreational potential, no euphoria, but a very reliable sleep aid with no grogginess upon waking and used it sporadically enough that I did not gain any dependence. Also dropped BP and calmed racing pulse if stressed or overstimmed. Very clear headed light but effective at ~ 4 mg
Bromaz is nice to have in your tool kit, but I think it's far from an ideal benzo. Nonetheless, I'm glad I stocked up because the ban seems to have made its availability extremely rare once again, pushing the grey market to find alternatives.
Hopefully the next "go to" cns depressants are a little bit more... Let's say less side effect prone.
I hope this helps!
