Not feeling it with Codeine

Ok, i have done codeine three times now, first time at about 160mg, seccond at about 200mg, third at about 250mg.
The first time i felt some relaxation effect, but it could just as easily be attributed to placebo. The seccond and third time i felt nothing.
I have read you should take on an empty stomach... does this mean that diluting the codeine to make it drinkable will lessen its effect? I dont think i would be able to down the lot undiluted...
Are these doses way too low? i got those doses from a site which detailed the cwe process.
I have been using CWE to get the codeine out of 500/8 paracetemol/codeine pills.

thoughts would be appreciated, and apologies if this is a really silly newb question.

some people don't get any effect from codeine because their body is unable to turn it into its active metabolites because of a missing enzyme of some sort... i dont remember the % of people like that tho, but you could be one of those people who just doesn't get anything from codeine.
 
codeine has never done anything for me. Try small does of vic/oxy (percs) and see how you tolerate those. IMHO, codeine isn't worth a shit

as a painkiller codeine/paracetemol is more effective for me than just paracetemol...so it must do something...

codeine has never done anything for me. Try small does of vic/oxy (percs) and see how you tolerate those. IMHO, codeine isn't worth a shit

Hmm ok.. i cant get either vic or oxy here (australia) to the best of my knowladge...

should i try a higher dose of codeine, or just give up on it?

also do you think diluting the extracted codeine lessens the effect?

Is codeine OTC in OZ? Does it come in pure form without the asprin? It might be the asprin that's giving you the problems. When I used to go down to the islands, they would sell codeine over the counter as a product called 222.

There's a method for filtering out the asprin by crushing it, using hot water, and then running it through a coffee filter. I forget the exact technique. Does anyone remember, offhand, how to filter out the asprin from codeine tabs using the coffee filter method to help this bloke out?

EDIT- ah, my mistake, I missed the "CWF" reference in your first post. If you know the right people, I'm SURE you have to be able to get vic and oxy in OZ. My mates used to get amazing H down there. You are so close to place like thailand/afghanistan (compared to the US), I'm sure you'd be able to get H if you knew the right (or wrong) people, but not sure you want to make THAT big a leap.

it is over the counter in a mix of 500mg paracetemol (i think you guys call it acetaminophen) to 8mg of codeine. you cant get it in a pure form, however i think you can get 30mg codeine to 500mg paracetemol.

i have been filtering out the paracetemol/acetaminophen by dissolving the tabs in warm water, putting it in the fridge to seperate the soluble codeine from the insoluble paracetemol, then putting the remainder through a filter.

BTW- what are the doses your codeine tabs are coming in? (i.e., ratio of paracetamol to codeine)? Are you getting like the 2.5 mg codeine tabs?

If you are a relative "newbie" to opiates, you should still be able to cop a decent buzz by just eating like 8-10 tabs without filtering. Just eat a few rolaids first to coat your stomach against the asprin, bc you might be losing a LOT in the extraction process.
 
see, 8 mgs is a decent dose. Have you tried just eating 5 of the tabs without the filtering process? As I recall the filtering process I used to do, it never involved refrigeration, you jut put the mixture, after heating and dissolving, in a bath of ice water for 30-45 mins. Then run through coffee filter. Have you tried that way of doing it?

When you say remainder of the solution, do you mean you let the apap sit at the bottom and only filter the top by poring it off to a filter and leaving the rest of the solids in the cup?

if thats the case you're not efficiently doing the CWE right and probably getting half as mush codeine that you should be getting. you need to dissolve the pills in room temp water and cool and when you come to filter you stir the solution and pour it 'all' into a pre filter(that sits on top of a coffee filter) then after a while you carefully remove the prefilter material and twist it up, making sure no solution spills and then you squeeze the crap out of it over the coffee filter. I believe thats where a lot of the codeine is... i squeezed my prefilter(boxershort material) into a separate cup with a coffee filter and once it was done i compared the taste and that cup tasted a lot stronger with codeine.

Well thats the thing... i dont know the right people unfortunatly, codeine is easy, which is why i want to see if can get anything good with it

what exactly do you mean by a bath of ice water?
im very reluctant to consume more than a recommended dose of paracetamol... 5 tabs is 2500mg of paracetemol and 40mg of codeine, which surely is not nearly enough for a high?

the last time i tried i poured all the solids into the filter, but i dident use a prefilter... i will try that next time

does anyone have an opinion on whether heavily diluting the resultant solution will dull its effects?
i find it impossible to get the codeine down by itself without gagging.

Empty stomach is one of the most potentiating factors of codeine.

no, diluting it with a litre of water or cordial wouldn't make a difference to the amount of euphoria you get, but i can do a 100ml gulp pretty easy and get a sweet after-taste.

let it filter for a while sp that the solution in the prefilter is more gooey than liquid. then carefully twist so its sealed and then squeeze it hard over your already partly filled coffee filter
 
250 mg of codeine is equal to 35 mg of Hydro and about 25 mg of oxy.

a lightweight or newbie would get high as all hell on those doses...or even sick as shit.
 
codeine and tramadol are wat i consider bitch opiates. drank 350mg last night with 75mg DPH and a thing of grapefruit juice. felt the DPH more than the codeine til i smoked n railed some valium. even then not much of a opy high. and now the oxy's are vanishing- the old 60s are goin for 120 in my locale. someone tried to sell the new 60s for just over a dollar a mg and i told them to fuck off i dont want that garbage. opana me please
 
Try a different opiate/opioid. Preferably not a crappy one.

Get some Roxicodone or Oxymorphone... even in your case Hydrocodone...

I am not a fan of codeine.
 
Thanks for all the tips guys, ill definatly have another go at extraction, see if i can get some more out...

As a complete newbie to drugs i have no contacts whatsoever, so i am limited to what i can get at the chemist :(

i would love to try some stronger stuff like oxy but it just isnt happening at the moment.

codeine sucks thats why its legal in most countries...

try oxycodone (percosets, OCs) or hydrocodone (vicoden)...garenteed good high

ull need like 10-20mgs
