Russia and Poland double to win stuck on a £40 returns £196 so come on give me some drug money ! Being a little mroe optimistic though im thinking possibly a poland win and a russia draw, anyway going to be missing a good few games as im at parklife, ready for england on monday though.
 
I just posted this in the football thread, but if this is the official Euro 2012 thread then I will copy and paste my post so it's more relevant to the conversation as the other thread was more about the last season (PL, CL).

Here it is, sorry if you already read it on the other thread:

I have Huntelaar down as top scorer, he's the top scorer in Bundesliga and gets along much better with both Robben and Sneijder, they can't stand Van Persie and don't pass the ball to him and when Huntelaar plays the Oranje are up on another level, the kid is hungry and has an amazing taste for goal.

RVP never performed for his national team as well as he does for Arsenal, where the entire team plays for him, Huntelaar has a good understanding with the rest of the Dutch team, especially Sneijder and Robben who actually serve him good assists, thing they don't do with RVP, instead of passing to him they go for the goal themselves.

There's a heated debate in the Netherlands right now on who should start and most people want Huntelaar in the first XI and Van Persie on the bench, Klaus has scored something like 12 goals during the qualification rounds, mark my words the kid is on fire.

Oh and Klose is always a safe bet for top scorer.

So much money to be made/lost in the next few weeks, wicked.

Remember that friendly against Holland a few months back? When Huntelaar came on England were overwhelmed he completely changed the pace of the game, singlehandedly, he scored a cracking goal before being injured by some English defender, I swear if you have to put money on a Dutch top scorer he's the man.
 
If I still bet as much as I did I certainly wouldn't be on a drugs forum as much!!!

So the blatant decisions in favour of the hosts have started already. Let's see if they can manage to match the infamy of Korea 2002, when Italy was kicked out by corrupt ref Byron Moreno, who definately got money from the Korean FA. Scum. Then they say us Italians are corrupt. Football is rotten worldwide.

Interesting to note that Byron Moreno was later arrested in a NY airport with 9 kilos of heroin on his person. That game was pre-arranged. Korea never beat Italy fairly.
 
^He also got suspended in his home country Ecuador for about 30 games before that for some more blatant match fixing. Dirty Rat. Spain got raped by South Korea after Italy did in 2002 aswell with some equally disgraceful decisions. Blatter of course had nothing to say.

Szczesny had an absolute shocker of a game there. Had the 1st scorer though so cant complain.

Going with Kerzhakov to score first here. Russia to win 2-1
 
I'm not excited about the England team at all, the squad is fucking shit. Seems to be mainly Liverpool players and other mid-table players. If it had more United members such as Scholes, Carrick and Cleverley I'd be much more excited. Would love to see Scholes get the credit he deserves on the international front. As it is I have much more passion for my club, the England team is full of bellends who I can't relate to. I'd just like to see some good football but England are horrible to watch.

Surely there will be as many Utd players in the starting lineup as Liverpool players? And the rest of the team is made up of either prem league champs or champ league winners + Arsenal.

Scholes retired 8 years ago and made it pretty clear he doesnt want to play and you really think Cleverley is good enough at International level? Massively over-rated player. Carrick should be starting all day long though and it was always going to be one or the other between Terry/Ferdinand. 2 bellends if you ask me, and both well past it. Very harsh on Ferdinand.

Hart, Cole and Rooney are all world class. Not much after that. I'd be surprised if they got past the 1/4 finals.

Russia are looking very good! I didn't think much of Greece but Poland I think once they get into the swing of it should be a decent side. I'd fancy Russia and Poland from this group.

England haven't a fucking hope of winning it IMO.

Liverpool have 4 United have 3 I think. Yeah I know Scholes retired years ago I just think he's one of the few playaers worth watching from England and is the best midfielder in England on his day if not the world. He almost went to the last world cup but capello got his secretary to call him on the day the squad was leaving. Every England manager has treated him with contempt when he's the one that could win them something, he's that good. Cleverely is a prospect and I know him being out injured for most of the year wouldn't lead gim to being picked, my point being from a selfish United fan point of view it would have been nice to see what he can do. Don't know why you say he's overrated he's been great when fit but most non-united fans always downplay our up and coming players. He's England's future midfield. I just think instead of fielding decent players from all over the league we should do what germany and spain do and play pretty much bayern barca and madrid teams, then we'd be much more cohesive as a team.
I just struggle to get exicted about a midfield of milner, barry, henderson and gerrard. We all know they're going to fucking shit. Oh well I'll still cheer them on.
I'm looking forward mroe to watching some good football from the likes of spain germany and the netherlands.
