So disappointing last night, completely outplayed and outclassed and just didn't play at all. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong and we got a hiding. Uggghhhhh

Next 2 games look a very scary prospect after watching Spain v Italy. Couldn't believe the Trapatoni subs but also couldn't understand what Del Bosque was playing at. No recognised striker and taking Silva off after the equaliser. See Torres blaming the pitch for his missed chances.

Think England have a great chance if they keep Benzema quiet.

Indeed, I had a tenner on an england win at half time at 10/3, canceled it out at 60 minutes to bet on a draw at evens to break even, I didn't really think france had much of a chance to score at the end, glad they didn't score to lose me 20 quid, have wthdrawn the 20 quid now though, don't think it is wise to gamble on any more matches.
 
I thought it was an okay match. Better than I expected although the first was better than the 2nd half. We looked kind of dangerous on the counter-attack but France were better at keeping the ball. If we had Rooney I think we would have won. Also the ref was a biased cunt who let so many fouls go in France's favour. A draw is a decent enough result against the best side in our group. Think we'll reach the knock-out stages bar some major fuck up.

Was surprised at how many empty seats there were, the atmosphere was kind of shit compared to usual. Where was the band are they banned or something?
 
Most def, we played well enough to show that we can make the knockouts, although I think we will take a tough route with one more draw against ukraine and then a win versus Sweden to just about make it.
 
Agree with you Mugz. I was gonna put a tenner on France 2-1, but decided not to bother. Too tricky to predict the games so far, I've not seen any of these teams play friendlies/not upto date enough on pre tournament form, to make worthwhile predictions.

Plus...is it really worth second guessing the match-fixers?

(Anyone who doubts me can try and explain the red card the Greek got in the opening game)
 
I put a tenner on a sweden win, also a tenner on a ukraine win as I didn't think that it would be a draw, ended up winning a fiver, withdrawn that too so am a fiver up in the euros so far, don't think I'll bet anymore though, only made those bets as I was slightly drunk.

The game was a pretty good one after the initial stalemate, was very surprised at Shevchenko's perfomance and two goals, I think England have something to worry about now with the Ukraine performance.
 
Both England and France did not want to lose that game, but I think they may have shot themselves in the foot. Sweden really have to beat England so will go for it, and Ukraine will be full of confidence and could trouble a dodgy French central defence.
Really disappointed with France as their midfielders were not positive enough, England were a typical Hodgson team. They will probably be the worst team to watch as a neutral.
Scotland have a 100% record so far played none lost none :(

We knew it was going to be empty weeks ago and the atmosphere was shit? Compared to....The Stretford End on a Saturday?

Yeah we really missed the band. It was like playing with ten men. Oh I bloody love that band. OWL CUNTS

Sorry septic peg I wasn't aware that lots of tickets had not been sold. The atmosphere was shit compared to usual England competitive matches. I know OT's atmosphere is shit for the most part but that wasn't my point belltard.
It was like playing with eleven men not ten as no-one got sent off. The band is called OWL CUNTS?
 
yeah the fucking stewards would not let the band into the game, they been the like everyone of the past england games for like the past 10 years of something like that, it was said that there instruments where deemed as "offensive weapons" even though the FA had approved it, anyway theyll be back for the sweden game :)
 
Czech are looking good against greece here. Be interesting to see how Russia play against Poland.

The band that follows England are Sheffield Wednesday's band that attempt to create an atmosphere at a half-empty Hillsborough. Cunts? Bit harsh!

lol what a stupid reason, think they've got more to worry about than a fucking trumpet in those countries. glad they'll be back to boost the somewhat subdued atmosphere yesterday.

I never called them cunts was just asking why backtroll called them owl cunts. I never knew they were Wednesday's band.

They did the same with the Barmy Army trumpeter a couple of seasons ago then reversed the decision when they realised that having a band probably calms the crowd more than inflames.

If nothing else this tournament has just highlighted for me how backward most eastern Bloc countries still are. That and Ronaldo deserves every jeer he gets.
