Hi all.
Long time reader first time poster (as they say). I have a question for you all.
Currently I am on 20mg Citalopram and 300mg (2x 150mg Sustained Release) Bupropion tablets for depression/mild anxiety.
I am currently hitting the gym quite often and am looking to do something a little more with my routine and try and bulk up during winter a bit.
I've been thinking about using BSN Nitrix (Nitric-Oxide) as a vaso-muscular dilator and BSN Cellmass (Creatine/Glutamine) as a bulking/recovery agent.
My main question is nothing to do with the supplements themselves, however I would like to know your opinions before I start taking them and whether or not you have anything to add on the topic of potential side-effects or interactions with my prescribed medication.
Here are the ingredients to both, as well as the link if you need it.
BSN Nitrix
BSN Cellmas
My main concern with Nitrix is that it has on the label "Before consuming NITRIX seek advice from a health care practitioner if you are unaware of your current health condition or have any pre-existing medical condition including but not limited to: high or low blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmia, stroke; heart, liver, or thyroid disease; anxiety, depression, seizure disorder, psychiatric disease, diabetes, pernicious anemia, difficulty urinating due to prostate enlargement, or if you are taking an MAO inhibitor or any other medication."
I know the combination of Citalopram and Bupropion effectively lowers the seizure threshold. Will any of the ingredients continue to do so any further?
Also, I'm not sure on either of the anti-depressants method of action when it comes to MAO inhibition. I know they're not MAOIs, but still.. Do the aforementioned combinations stand any chance of contradiction?
I really appreciate your guys input, even if you can't be bothered answering the whole thing.
Better safe than sorry!
