Nicest compliment you've received lately

I dont like receiving compliments because they make me feel awkward, but funnily enough, I love to give them.
 
The last compliment I received was from one of my bosses, who I think is absolutely gorgeous. She looked me up and down, and told me I looked real schmick! %)

People who find it hard to accept compliments often find it hard to accept criticism as well. When you think about it, they're both (compliments/criticism) quite similar - they are simply opinions from other people expressed to you. To deny either one is to invalidate the compliment-giver, and possibly yourself. What if the compliment they give you is true, and you brush it off? You're simultaneously devaluing your good qualities while revealing your possible discomfort with yourself. :\

the last compliment i received was from my friend/fuck buddy who told me i was intriguing and that sometimes he misses me :), and though it sounds like spin, i guess i appreciated because we have the type of r/ship which is mostly banter and sparring, and rarely do we take time out to be honest and compliment each other :)
 
It's human nature to pull someone's leg... that's all compliments are. I have a severe mistrust of anybody that dishes out compliments so freely. I have friends, good friends, that I rarely ever give compliments to, and rarely receive any from them. You know that when you receive one that it's got some substance.

i usually get complimented about how do i overnighters at least once every week without drugs or any company. Sure the next day i generally look like a train wreck but hey, leveling up in the game im playing is more important than sleep to me right now =P
 
last night one of the female strippers at my work asked if she could take me home and hang me on her wall...

to which i said HELL YEAH!! ;) then we kissed for fun :D
 
i was talking to some russian girls... and i was saying something about feeling anti-social lately... etc and one of says:

"nnah, i don't think so, you just seem kinda serious and intense...."

but, in a heavy russian accent... ;)

yay! the russians think im intense!! sooo what i was going for! :D :p

Hrmmm I dont agree..... I give compliments because i notice a lot of good things about people and am not afraid to tell them, all of my comments have substance I just feel that I should SAY it rather than keeping it to myself.
 
my brother said the roast i did last nite almost rivalled the ones my mum used to make. thats a giant compliment, mum was a kick arse cook.
 
Receiving compliments is always good :) :)

I find I cant give compliments to guys very well coz I always feel like now they might have something over me... bit of a power thing :\ I think thats from dealing with some shit guys in the past!

Generally if you're a guy and I cant compliment you, it means I think you're absolutely fantabulous but cant put it into words. I find it easy to compliment girls coz I really admire certain things about certain people and I'm not afraid to show it with women. No power trip there! :p

I really wanna work on this.

I agree but I think that people are quite often just bad at taking compliments about the things that they are most uncomfortable with. Meanwhile, they may be perfectly willing to take a compliment on something they can agree with or criticism on an area that is less sensitive and that they already think needs a little improvement. It also depends on who's dealing it out.
 
a guy from work was joking around calling me a ho today and i got really mad at him for saying it. he thinks for a minute and says 'but you're a very pretty ho!'

it should prolly go in the 'most insulting compliment you've recieved lately' thread but.
 
Got told I was one of the funniest people someone I work with had ever met.

That made me smile :)
 
I went out on Friday night with some friends and the most gorgeous guy from out of town came up to me and todl me I was soo cute.. I was like *oh my no...* but he continued to tell my friends and then before you know it.... yes a kiss was had.... *blushes*
