I dont think its been done but Ill start this one.............for ryan

I dont see Columbus playing but the wings are looking to get knocked out by San Jose last nights game was heartbreaking. Anyway sharks lead the series 3-0. Not looking god for my wings but the way the sharks have been playing seem like they wanted it more

So anyway heres the line ups as of now

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Montreal Canadians
San Jose Sharks vs. Detroit Red Wings
Boston Bruins vs. Philadelphia Flyers
Chicago Black hawks vs. Vancouver Canuks

If the wings get knocked out Im pulling for Chicago, nice to see 4 of the original six in the playoffs

Bump fuck the sharks

Penguins Vs. Blackhawks is my prediction for the finale...

How have I never seen this! Thanks for the mention, babe. <3

I'll have to be honest, with the BJs not in the playoffs and the Cavs still playing as well as the Indians, I've watched less playoff hockey than I anticipated I would. Still I've been keeping up for the most part. I can't believe the sharks are doing what they're doing to the wings right now! Everyone knows they're a perennial no show to the playoffs. First round exit... that's what I expected. Nabokov has a history of choking in big games and with fluke own goals like the one by Boyle, who obviously made a bad attempt at ringing the boards to clear the defensive zone, Nabokov should have NEVER let that thing get by his short side. As an established keeper in the playoffs, shit like that shouldn't get by you no matter who threw it at you. I figured that was a clear sign that they were killed, cooked, swallowed, and soon to be spit back up. Guess not, eh? :D

I'm REALLY stoked to see the Habs get past the Caps in the first round and while I have no ill feelings towards the penguins, I'd like to see them lose this series. Not because I'm sick of seeing them make it to the finals, because really... I couldn't care less. I'd really prefer to see the Habs go deep.

Also, while I dig the original six reprazentin' and though they're a division rival (and I use the term rival loosely) I really kinda have a distant kind of liking for the Blackhawks. That said, however, all of my previous statements aside... I'd really like to see them and the Penguins (sorry Habs) in the finals and have the Pens win it again. I just think it would be ridiculous to see the Hossa curse in full effect.

Played for Pittsburgh, lost in the finals to the Wings.
Declined resigning with Pittsburgh... signed with the Wings because he "wanted to win a cup."
Wings lose in the finals to Pittsburgh.
Signs a long term contract with Chicago.
*Chicago loses cup to Pittsburgh. LOL

Seriously... can you honestly tell me that that WOULND'T be ridiculous? Hossa would probably cry cry cry.

*Pending

Wow Sharks really choked on that one.. 7-1? That was ridiculous. Gotta give props to Franzen. Sharks will win back at HP Pavilion though. Good job Detroit for not getting swept.

Go Sharks!

Haha, that's pretty funny... It's actually my pick for the whole playoffs (see above: Pittsburgh over Chicago)

Yeah, I actually hadn't read the entire thread yet before typing that, then I read it and thought, "I wonder if he's thinking along the same lines." :D

Seriously though, if you're Hossa and the Hawks lose to the Pens in the finals this year... you HAVE to start thinking about where things went wrong. Granted, he's a good player, but it's a good thing the Hawks have him signed long term, because I'm sure that coincidence runs through the minds of owners that could be signing him as a free agent. Act as a pivotal reason for bringing a cup home and everyone wants you on their team, be all 6 degrees of separation in keeping the cup from 3 cities... nobody wants your ass.

And speaking of a Pittsburgh/Chicago finals. I've been saying all year that Chicago could be a cup contender, but with their goalie situation, I just couldn't see them winning it all. Fluery has his bouts of letting more in than he should, but he tends to play as good as he needs to. I just can't see Chicago winning. Especially not with a finals hardened Penguins team (assuming it winds up being the two of them left standing).

Nabokov stepping up in the playoffs? Unreal. It may finally be the year...*crosses fingers*

Yeah... I know Nabokov's a good keeper and this should be expected, but given his track record in big games... this is a complete shock. They manhandled the Wings. Who saw that coming???
