seriously they're great to take for a pep up, cold or not.

sometimes I think I'm more addicted to pseudoephedrine than any actual illicit substance :|

I do not condone abusing pain medication. But if you are having a hard time with a pharmacist, surely you can buy online??

A quick search of Australian online pharmacies reveals a syrup that I did not know was allowed to be sold in Aus... hmmm

It comes with the note:
*Maximum of 2 bottles per order per month (TOTAL OF 4 PACKETS OF CODEINE CONTAINING PRODUCTS PER ORDER) - PATIENT PROFILE REQUIRED FOR THIS PRODUCT

Go figure...

Gees, I have just noticed that this new law has spawned a new codeine industry in Australia. I bet the law makers did not see this coming!! It is now possible to get up to 240 30mg codeine pills in one box!! And codeine linctus is back on the shelves... didn't see that coming ;)

Like none of this product will make it onto the streets...

Not many pharmies WANT to do this: they make tons of money of codeine products- but they HAVE to.

If you need opiates, go to ER and explain that you are addicted. They will help.

Go to ER they will help? :\ really help with what? I have tried this before they dont care they might point you in the direction of some numbers to ring.

What 240x30mg? How does that work, is it 30 + 1.5 of apap or something? Or you talking about scripted codeine?

Online pharmacies are bound by the same laws. Any pharmacy selling more than 5 days recommended use in one transaction is in breach of the S3 requirements. One online pharmacy was stripped of its licence last year for selling 12 X 72 pill boxes of Panafen Plus without Pharmacist intervention.

Codeine Linctus is S8 in Australia

This enormity of this thread just hit me today.
I walked into my pharmacy looking for some nurofen + to take along mushroom tripping and BANG. nothing there, no codeine whatsoever.
This sucks balls.

You just have to ask for it as they keep it behind the counter.
 
^ You can still get them, just have to ask at the counter, they might grill you a bit more than they used to but unless you have a needle hanging out of your arm I doubt they'll refuse the sale.
 
I managed to get a 50 pack of brand name panadeine which works out to be 400mg all up (8mg per tab)

This was at a Melbourne pharmacy on Sunday

The lady was very nice, no questions other than "do you want more than 30?". She then went out back and got me the 50 pack

I was also knocked back at another pharmacy for 'looking intoxicated'

Just shows how different each pharmacy is when it comes to handing over codeine containing products
 
Lying to pharmacists to get codeine just makes me feel like the biggest low life loser, don't know why but that was one reason why I quit quite a while ago. I felt scummier than buying real illicit drugs.
 
^ Yeah you can get 40 packs because the maximum you are meant to take a day is 8 tablets ,8 by 5 days is 40.

The Chemists' Own little 40 bottles are the bomb by the way.
 
So you can still get 40 tablets of 10mg at once? Is it all legit or a chemist mistake?
Here i have been driving around getting packs of 24 and 30. Can you get a pack of panadeine and N+ at the same time?

If have found these new restrictions to just make me spend more time at the chemist, more money on pertrol, more packaging used; wasted and the codeine companies just make more money.
 
^ It's legit brother I just got it today, two 40 packs and two 24's and I am FLYING!

You won't be able to get multiple packs, regardless of bran, at the same pharmacy though.

And some places lie or are ignorant and will try to tell you 24 is the legal maximum they can give you.
 
Like before, some pharmacies will hand out the large packs freely, some won't. Not much you can do about it, trying to push the issue will just make them less inclined to give it to you.

I'm surprised by how little this has affected my ability to get codeine actually. I think I'll need to space out my visits to the same pharmacy a bit more, but otherwise no problems. Only had any kind of details taken on a purchase once, and they just asked for my last name and initial, didn't check my license or anything. Not sure if that goes onto some kind of database, it was a fairly major pharmacy chain.
 
Im still goin thru my stockpile:P Altho im pretty sure ill encounter some of these common problems soon :S Lets just hope they wont ask for ID's at all. I really dont want to be spendin so much on H or oxys.
 
So today I went to two different chemists and both didn't have more than 15 packs of the most common generic ibu product. Wanted nearly half of what I used to pay for 75, what a fucking joke. Both pharmacies (same chain, for some reason they are right next to eachother :S figured I would try both but was expecting the second to say the same) told me they were legally allowed to stock 30 packs but chose not to, I commonly say the pills are for my mother and one pharmacist informed me that soon you will be refused sale as soon as you say its for someone else, they want to consult the person takign them.
