Massive cocaine seizure in Queensland
MORE than 450kg of cocaine has been seized in Queensland's southeast.
The Australian Federal Police (AFP) and Australian Customs and Border Protection Service conducted a joint operation to snare the 460kg of drugs, one of the largest cocaine seizures in Australian history.
The AFP will provide further information at a media conference later today.

Just read this article this morning, 460KGs does seem like a large amount of cocaine in one bust given the population of Queensland. Is this an indication of the size of the market here if half a tonne is shipped at once, or more of an indication of the difficulty in shipping here so it is done in bulk? At the least it does seem like a lot of cocaine and I am sure someone is not going to be happy.
